CCP, we need a way of sending an email invite to players we played with but have unsubbed. Only you have the actual emails, so please provide a way to send a "Hey!!, Things are better now so come back to EVE" invite out to them from the players.

Thanks.

At least his ideas are so bad I'm sure no CCP employee even bothers clicking his posts any more.

Nothing wrong with this idea. When unsubbed players see their old corpmates re-joining, there is more incentive to re-sub. As for the abuse of this...limtiations can be put in place, we have the technology. Roll

Im glad neither of you trolls work for CCP. This is prospective revenue by way of cheap advertisment from familiar playmates.

If they care enough to talk to you then you have their E-Mail / MSN. If they did not give it then they do not care. If they want to re-sub then they will keep up with the game.

If not...

I have emails for all my corpies (except a new guy...) and a few alliance folk.

One of them hasn't been in game for a while, and I still keep in touch.

If you didn't make the effort to get contact info, don't except CCP to do it for you.

Im not asking for contact info....Im asking for a way to send a "come back" message via CCP.

And CCP aren't your message boy. Besides, they already constantly send come back messages (I would know, I spend every other month unsubbed due to lack of funds).

It would be hard for CCP to hire me, as I am not of legal age to work, nor a citizen of Iceland.

Yes because if CCP hired you that would be sooo much better...

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

And what's to stop you from filling their inbox with spam/sending annoying messages/etc.

If your in-game friend doesn't give you their E-mail address or something like that, they don't want to hear from you. Simple as that.

Sure.

As long as all users get a “never contact me because other users want to spam me” option, and it defaults to “sure thing”.

Isn't that called "Hey, I'm leaving, here's my E-Mail address" vs "Hey, I'm leaving, bye"

Looks like the feature has already been implemented... since the '80s.

CCP sends notes to unsubbed players on a regular basis to try and get them back in. These emails include the things that have been upgraded/changed. New topic.

Yes. I think they even had an early beta out in 1876.

It's a very nice feature.

Dear *****,

In conclusion, the following players have returned/are currently playing EVE and have extended a personal invitaton:

Player 1: ****************
Player 2: ****************

Sincerely,

CCP

If I see that players I have enjoyed playing with have returned to EVE, I am more prone to re-sub than to resub with a generic 'return' email simply becuase I can now have interaction with people I once knew.

If I were to unsub, and someone I didn't like (say... one Atticus Fynch) were to send me a personal invitation back, I'd be:
1. Pissed that CCP gave that person the power to put stuff in my inbox
2. Less likely to reSub

CCP isn't stupid enough to take that chance.

I only resubbed because of the 2 months for $14.99 offer.
