What you need:

10 Mil SP unless focused in a certian area of interest
Mature and organized.
Able to fly Alliance fittings. (if you don't have the skills don't worry, you can train them fast)
Able to join external comms channels.

You need to like to communicate and be part of a mature and organized community.
