All,

I have been out of town for a few weeks, but I am back.

Some answers:
- yes, you normally should be able to look 3 or 4 jumps ahead. If you see less, link me a screenshot and I will have a look.
- above average traffic means: 25% more traffic than the average for the systels shown by the navigator.
- the npc/ship/pod data is provided by the eve apis. This data is cached for 1 hour and can thereby only be refreshed hour per hour. The refresh timer information is now shown by the navigator.

Some upcomming enhancements:
- (added already) indicate the availability of ice belts as they can be a possible target for roaming gangs.
- I am looking into having the data refreshed a it more often.
- add buttons to help you control the shown data.
- I could generally make it look a whole lot better.
- some people have asked to see gang members on the map. I guess it would be interesting to see for an FC where his scouts are. I could do this by corp or even by alliance, but this requires trusting each other and especially trusting me since I would have to log that information then. In case people roam with non alliance members, I could have you add people you want to track to a list and make a list where you can say who can track your place o the map. I am not sure if I should go there though. Up for debate.
- Once I log wher eyou guys go in order to show gang members, I can also show on the navigator what your past 3 systems are you were in. Hence showing wher you came from, or where you should not go back to while advancing through space :)

Make me any suggestions you would like to see appear in the navigator !

Now that I think about it, the navigator will show several jumps out upto 4

OR

less until it encounters at any given jump level 10 or more jump options.

SO

if you are in highsec, and your current system, has more than 1 jumps options, the navigator will only show 1 jump out.
if you are in highsec, and you have 4 jump options, but these 4 give 12 jump options as a second jump paths, then it will show only 2 jumps out. this will repeat itself upto 4 jumps maximum

The reason for this is that the initial navigator showed always 4 jumps out, but this made it useless in empire due to the high amount of jump possibilities between systems. The navigator simply became one mess of systems and lines, completely unreadable. Maybe I have overdone it by limiting it the way I did. In that case I need to change it a bit

Send me the screenshot anyway just in case, there is a bug in what is being rendered.

I like this a lot and it has purposes outside of finding PVP targets.

Great tool, let it never die!

+1 x a lot.

I am making some changes to the navigator, so it migth be a bit buggy over the weekend. By the end of today I hope to have the navigator stable without added functionality, but in the new framework. I hope to add some new things by the end of the weekend

I keep you posted

This looks to be a very handy tool... haven't tried it out due to lack of EVE till the 10th, but if this works as advertised, this would definitely be useful for scouts and such on roams, look forward to testing this out this weekend!

Im liking it

I know this may not be easy, but
- could you add a button to hide all but the map, or at least the white over black buddy tracking list?
- and the hard one... could you make it scalable?

It would be so awesome if the tool could distinguish between belt rats and mission rats. Is that even possible?

It is a good idea, but the apis unfortunatly do not provide this level of detail of information.

rats are rats .. :)
