Faction standings rewards

As per the Standings Mechanics table it seems that when you hit a personal modified standing of 8.5 then faction BPC's may be offered.

I'm assuming that these rewards based on specific standing achievements are independant to the LP rewards as something on their own but one of my chars recently attained this value with Amarr but has not recieved any indication or notifcation of how to redeem any special reward.

Can anyone clarify what if anything the table is indicating?

Look for Mandor Neek on the above page. As far as I know the standings required are unmodified standings. You won't get any special notification that you are eligible for these COSMOS missions / offers unless that has been changed recently.

Like most of EvE, you are given a Kubrik cube at day 1 and sent your way into the sandbox.

This makes no exception, you have to find out that this prizing happens, to find where they give it and to go there, with no "popup" or anything making it easier / evident.
