Triage II Module - 20% increased targeting range whats the point?

Whats the point of the 20% increased targeting range on the Triage 2 Module? Carriers are restricted by their rep range, not their targeting range when in Triage.

Was the intent to give 20% increased rep range? Because that would actually make sense
