I am disappoint with the lack of a keyboard shortcut for "open fuel bay" for capital ships Sad

Is there some sort of a serious programming obstacle to this, or is it just that nobody tried/nobody cares?

That icon - chat from eve gate - Does this mean that Chat channels will be accessible Out-Of-Game, from Evegate?

Also, is the blue hilighting of your character just for CCP, or will this be a universal change for everyone? it makes it a lot easier to see what your character has written, so I hope it's for everyone

It's just voice chat, should maybe have made that clearer in the picture Smile

Only CCP is blue in chat, sorry Blink

I think it would be useful to have your own character show up in a different color in chat, like green? I mean, obviously, CCP could be special and see themselves as blue, but I'd see myself as green.

Green is already taken for some role, I don't remember which one.. I would like to be pink.. you could be.. I don't know.. Orange or something?

(I actually like the idea of you seeing yourself in a different color)

What about the same colour but in bold, or slightly greyed out? Subtle difference but should be noticeable.

As for the changes... no words can describe, so I will communicate in the language of my people PiratePiratePiratePiratePirate

Is there a way to close the watch list all at once? The only thing I know to do is remove each person until there is none, or leave fleet.

We didn‘t have much time for doing this so we mostly just harvested good ideas from the forums

If you had more time, would you have completely ignored our ideas and come up with your own? Blink

More seriously, those all look like excellent updates. I particularly like the compact member list showing standings.

I was mostly talking about the prioritization, not the harvesting thing, related to time Blink

the compact member list is also my favorite (I can have a favorite own change right?)

Tough choice for compact member list (local in packed systems is a pain) and shift click to overheat (I get all twitchy in PvP.)
But, I thank you guys for all these changes. 8D

The chat channel upgrades are awesome, but can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow us to sort them by standing? Local specifically.

+1 to THIS. Would be VERY nice to sort local in this manner.

I may not like you or your point of view but you have a right to voice it.

Good stuff, I like it Smile

Overload modules improvements

We know the tiny overload button isn‘t the best to click when you‘re panicking. We didn‘t want to make the click area much bigger because you don‘t want to be clicking that overloading when you just wanted to deactivate your module. So what we came up with is that you can now shift-click a module to overload it – so it works just like if you‘re using the keyboard shortcuts.

We also made the overload button blink from the time you actually activate it, until it gets activated so at least you know what‘s happening. Up until now you would activate it and you didn‘t really know whether it was working until the time it turned bright green. We also changed the hint text for it to be more descriptive of the state. (This works in the same for deactivating overload).

Little question: will shift+F1 work as well besides shift+click?

Good stuff. The compact view of chat lists will make local chat much more convenient to watch.

Wonders if they can make fleets the same way with the drag and drop.

Looks great! One other small thing I would like to se is similar to how when you ctrl-click names in broadcasts, it locks them, and if they're already locked, it switches the active target to them. Same thing for when you ctrl-click watchlist.

I would prefer if everyone had their own colors based on standings. Such as green for corp members talking in any chat, dark blue for alliance, light blue for any positive standing, light red for any negative standing, purple for fleet, etc. It would make smack talk in local that much more interesting. Perhaps take colors from the current overview settings?

And also, should be completely client-side. A la, I can have corp set to green, but another corpie could have it set to yellow. Or, if you want to disable, you should be able to.

I understand the want to have the 'special' people horde the special colored text (CCP, ISD, bug hunters, etc), but when do you ever see any of them in the day to day activities in EVE? Opening up colored chat to the rest of eve and letting everyone customize it at the expense of the privileged few that hardly ever use it would be a nice feature.

An idea to keep everyone happy: regular players only have the character names in chat turn different colors depending on standings / state but keep the white text, while the special people still have the entire chat text colored.

Food for thought, would love to hear of a devs opinion on this. =)

Big thank you for these fantastic changes.

On the issue of filtering local, i don't agree, we're already gettin improvements to make it a lot easier to see who's there, don't want to make things too easy or we'll never catch people napping =) And for the guy who has to count local, a little mental arithmatic is good for you, the doctors say so.

Some peeps on the little things thread asking for a dscan cone for easier scanning, no thanks, i had to learn the hard way and they should too ^^ plus making things too easy takes alot of fun out of it, and you miss the sense of accomplishment when you do finally get your head round it etc.

And I agree with the person who mentioned that we should b*tch when ccp get it wrong, but when they get it right they deserve a big up big up, so thanks again ccp/devs, much love =) o7
