So I started PI and am now making electrolyte, I didnt really plan this that much, just kinda experimenting and thats how its ended up.

So im making electrolyte, can launch it, pick up, workled all that out, put in on sale %20 below the regional averages.... and it aint shifting.... Am in the Anbald/Bongveber area. Should I wait till I have a larger shipment and find somewhere better to sell it? Or am I just selling the wrong stuff, just aint gonna shift?

Don't know anything about PI, but I'd suggest you try selling in Jita; if that's too far maybe Hek. Nobody is going to go a zillion jumps out of their way to save a couple ISK on manufacturing supplies unless the volume is very large.

No one wants to fly around to random systems to pick up what they need, because they normally need more than one thing at a a time. Generally, you need to sell where people are going to buy it.

...There are of course exceptions, but in general this means trade hubs. Trade hubs are stations in which pretty much everyone just goes to buy and sell. Examples are in Jita, Rens, Hek, Dodixie. The exact station that it all goes on in varies...just open up the market details page of pretty much any item and notice where all the orders are located.

Anbar is in Metropolis, so you'll be best off hauling your stuff to Rens.

First, there are quite a few goods that basically only sell in Jita (or possibly the other larger market hubs) and this applies very often to non-end products like the one you are trying to sell.

Also it is quite possible you are simply building the wrong stuff, or perhaps products higher on the production chain will sell better. It would not be a bad idea to do some market research in Jita (compare prices, effort to produce and volume of the market). Also note that sometimes a product high up the chain might sell for less then its components. The other way around might occur as well, ofcourse.

A PI chain you cannot really go wrong with are those for POS fuels : coolant, enriched uranium, mechanic parts and robotics.
This is also a chain that is not really difficult to do. For EU, Mech and Robotics you just need 4 base materials and you can produce all three.

Finally I believe there are quite a few websites and tools around to support your PI endeavours, google around for them, they can really help you a lot.

Good luck

Its important to do you homework ahead a time.

I know its a pain but if you want to make money from pi you have to know what to build ahead time.

Go to a market hub and see what things are selling for Amar, Rens, Dodixie, Jita what ever is closest to you.

Yes wait for a big yield then deliver it to market.

First thing is that any shmuck with out knowledge (as in putting skills in training queue) can make electrolytes, so you have to get farther in the food chain and for the love of god forget extracting anything in high sec or even in low sec unless it's 0.1-0.3 sec status system (near null like quantities for extraction).

Above of c. means you have to do some research of what sells and what doesn't,
As the above poster stated you can't go wrong with POS fuels or with parts needed for more advanced manufacturing.

If you are in hisec, electrolytes are quite possibly the worst P1 to process, as Ionic Solutions are quite rare in hisec.

You would be far better off doing oxygen or water in hisec than electrolytes.

As the others have posted above, you also need to find a market.

You either need to haul your goods to market or create one where people will come to you. You don't have to create a hub - just a market where people will come to buy what you are selling.

To get them to come - you MUST have enough to make the trip worthwhile - AND - there must be a need for what your selling in your region. If they can make a few jumps to fetch what they need from you - they'll often be happy to forgo the better price they might pay in a trade hub but they usually are not interested in buying up 50 small lots to get what they need.

That and you have to wait.

Understanding your region is important as well as understanding your product and where it fits in with other products.

The reason for going to a trade hub is high volume. Trade hubs are where buyers go to find things - as they can pretty much find anything they want at the trade hub. The thing is - there is also a LOT of competition in the hubs with .01 ISK wars common place. So - you'll often get better prices for your goods out in the regions rather than at the hub. But - you can sell things faster at the hub too - especially if you're selling to someone's buy order - which of course, while giving you an instant sale, is not going to get you as much money as if you put up a sell order.
