Hello

I have been playing Eve - online a few times before, but only for maybe a month each.

This time i think of starting up again. I reactivated my account, but i cant decide if my best option is to play on my old character or make a brand new clean start.

My old character has around 3 million skillpoints if im not mistaking
Alot of junk lying around everywhere
Was member of Eve - university once, about 1,5 years ago

I would like to join Eve university again i guess, cuz i cant really remember much details on gameplay

But , i was also thinking maybe going for a fresh start with a new account and delete the old one, then i would have better overview on what was going on etc..

If i do that i wonder, how long before i reach 3 million skillpoints? (give or take)

And , what would u recommend as my best option, spend some hours cleaning up my old character and continue on it, or do a clean fresh start with the advantages and disadvantages it has?

you start at ~50k now. 3m SP is a few months.

edit -- dammit, forum ate the rest of what I was gonna say (effing copy/paste)Shocked

ANYWAY ...

Since you already *have* a 3m SP toon, I'd say keep that account around. If you really want to join E-UNI, then just set up a secondary toon on that account and join them to learn with. By the time you're done learning things, you'll probably have 3m SP on both toons then, and can just choose whichever you like "better" at that point (not that the other will become useless, just keep them in your back pocket for while til you need a Jita alt or research alt or something).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

i dunno if its legal or not, i remember from previous that i had 3 accounts at the same time, maybe i should get 1 more account and use that to join eve uni, and use my 3mill acc as a secondary account for doing stuff. as i recall i was not able to leave station when eve uni is at war, and that can become very boring if i dont have anything else to do at the same time..

50,000 skillpoints per day is good approximation, so 3 million would be around 2 months.

(With initial attributes you get about 43k SP/day, with +3 implants you get 50k SP/day, even more with better implants and/or proper remap.)

It's completely legal to use as many characters as you want. Keep in mind only 1 character can skill on an account at the same time. So you can have 3 characters to play with if you use 1 account, if you are using 3 accounts this means you can play with 9 characters (only 3 can skill at the same time, 1 on each account). So like posted before, you can make a new character on the account you have you 3mil SP character on and start skilling that character in any way you want and keep the 3mil character at 3 mil for now. It might come in use when you need an alt for certain things (like before, a Jita price checking account or something like that).
