Simply put, i think a tool to enable fleet commanders to merge their fleets would make joining up with a friendly squadron/wing a much simpler affair. at current having to leave a fleet and then join another causes many logistical issues, such as proper organization of the pilots within the fleets, proper assignment of squad and wing commanders, and a general pain in the you know what as fleets have to grind to a halt to join up.
