Hey guys, first post / topic for the site. Just started the game about 3 weeks ago or so and have run into an issue. I am currently completely unable to continue the main storyline of the Amarr. Not sure why. I finished ALL the tutorial/initial storyline missions and it gave me some certificate and said something about how they would put in a good word for the future.

Well, since then I have run a ton of missions but anytime I try to run a mission for a "storyline agent " it either tells me I need to be in better standing or I get some mission where the lady needs 999 veldspar. Not exciting .....

So where can I continue the Amarr storyline?

Thanks.

The certificate is just a flavour item. It doesn't lead anywhere.

The game really has no storyline that each player follows. It's a wide-open sandbox game.

Storyline agents give storyline missions. A storyline mission is just a fancy name for a special mission you get that gives you faction standing (in this case with the Amarr Empire). Normal missions only give you agent and corporation standings.

You get a storyline mission after every 16 normal missions you do. And yes, storyline missions tend to be fairly mundane, courier type missions.

The mission system in EVE is not one of the games strongest points. It's a lifeless grind for the most part, in my opinion.

I recommend dipping your toes into other aspects of gameplay. Exploration, mining, PvP, etc. You may end up enjoy mission running, but at least you'll be sure.

You may also want to give the Sisters of EVE level 1 epic mission arc a try. It'll take you a few days to churn through all the missions, but that's really the best example of linear storytelling you'll find in EVE. Google "sisters of eve epic mission arc" for more info on how to get started on this one. And I recommend being able to use and bringing along a Salvager - for a new pilot, that's where the money is really at when missioning.

Hmmm, for such an old game with such a massive world I thought the storyline would be pretty good. Oh well. I'll look for the Sisters of Eve arc, thanks for that tip.

I am a family guy so not much free time. So mission running real quick is really my only option for now lol. Maybe 20-30 minute spurts here and there is all I get, unless everyone is gone, then I can play to my hearts content.

Currently building PI outposts and running missions to fund that operation. Think I am up to around 40mil or so worth of goods in my storage buildings. Will atleast pay for my early mistakes with the PI system lol.

I'll start exploring soon I'm sure. Haven't really left Pasha / Tark-Prime since starting 3 weeks ago. I have had fun in low-sec a bit and did not scanning but nothing much else.

Thinking of becoming a production character. Research, development, PI, mining, etc. Build everything I fit and eventually start building fleets for Corps. Who knows, something like that could be fun.

Evelopedia can be accessed in-game through the browser.

The Aura NPE tutorial refers players to the Career Agent's, the Career Agent's will refer players to the level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc.
