Contract ordering exploit

I've been standing by for too long now watching more and more one man corp's like Deals R' Us, Isk'R'us, Hypernet Inc, to name but a few, exploiting the ordering of contracts! There are now about 20 or more of these corp's spamming contracts with overpriced faction modules (eg. Imperial Navy Adaptive Nano's, Imperial Navy Heat Sinks, Caldari Navy Cruise Launchers, Caldari Navy Ballistic Control Systems etc). Each faction mod now has 10+ pages of items, which makes selling multiple items of Launchers or BCU's etc hard to do because people that order the contracts price(lowest first) - which shoud be the default by the way, not date created(oldest first), have to search through the last 9-10 pages just to find the multiple items.

All this has started happening since the new contract system came into play. I've raised this problem with CCP, but they don't seem to think there is a problem? The main issue is, as stated above, the default ordering of contracts and the first choice on the contract sort page pull down menu. People do not realise this is set to date created(oldest first), so when they search for said faction modules, the reams of spammed contracts which are overpriced and the oldest contracts due to their high price appear first on the list! There are so many spammed modules that they extend and fill whole pages so it looks like that's the price, people then accept! The majority of people that order normally -price(lowest first), do not accept these overpriced modules, so they get left to mature shall we say. This is how they become the oldest contracts and thus show up first when ordering date created(oldest first).

Hopefully if people read this and remember to order contracts price(lowest first) they won't get caught out! Just have a look at the contract history of these one man corp's named above, loads of people are falling for it and are oblivious! Surely this amount of contracts must slow the system some what? It's not really sustainable, due to the increasing number of people jumping on the bandwagon and doing the same thing.

There is a simple solution to this problem and it's to put 'price(lowest first)' as the default and first item in the contract sort pull down menu. Quite easy don't you think?

Come on CCP sort this out!

I wouldn't call it a exploit as much as a slight usability detail CCP seems to have welped.

Does CCP even read these forums?

There are loads of people still doing this, I see more and more each day. Where's it gonna stop? BoB A1 has now started a new corp doing this, one of many. Why doesn't CCP just change the default ordering of contracts to price(lowest first) so that's at the top of the drop down list? I can only see this problem getting worse, wouldn't it be best to nip it in the bud now?
