Soon to Be Unemployed, and Without A Cause to Fight For

Hence I am looking for a new cause, a new purpose in the verse.

My years of service as a member of CVA, as a foot soldier in the Providence Reclaiming Wars are now over, or will be in a few hours.

As such, I find myself at a crossroads of life. I am a man without purpose, a man without a mission, a soldier with no clear War to fight.

So I am open to suggestions. And opportunities.

As a Soldier first and foremost, I clearly have a long history of fighting for Amarrian Nationalism, but I find that there are many aspects of Amarrian culture I no longer can support, slavery being chief amongst them, but the forced indoctrination of faith is another. Over my many years, I have come to believe the greatest right a man has is his own personal sovreignty, his personal freedom. I suppose I could be described as a Nationalist Libertarian, and odd combination, but me none-the-less.

My few friends left in CVA would describe me as a drama queen, prone to passionate outburst, but also equally passionate in the things I do support and defend.

As a older veteran capsuleer, my skills have clearly accumlated over the years, and I can fly almost every Amarrian and Caldari conventional vessel at the top level of cybernetic-enhanced skill, as well as the usual and expected assortment of support skills. I am self-suficient, and independently wealthy enough for a conventional pilot, in both hull assets and liquid isk.

What I lack is a cause, a purpose, a reason for undocking and fighting. And a unit flying in the night-shift of EVE who could use a man such as me.

I am open to hear what the Intergal thinks the most worthy of causes are to support in this day an era. All suggestions are welcome, and while I appreciate that our Matari brethren may fidn my past somewhat detestable, one thing I've found over the years is every capsuleer can, with time, become a new man, and redeem himself if the cause is true and just.

Thank you for reading.

Are you leaving CVA by choice, or are you being pushed out for being a Gallentean in disguise?

By choice. My desires and theirs no longer appear to coincide, and the brother in arms I flew with and loved most dearly have all retired planetside. The ties that bound no longer do so.

My political ideals, i.e. non-support for slavery and the ideals of personal liberty, have never been an issue raised by CVA leadership against me. They are remarkably tolerant and good people in CVA, the best a man could hope to fly with and for. I've been blessed to work for Equi all these many years.

But time changes things, and now is my time to move on. Thank you for asking.

I would offer you a place in TS-F, where you could work towards something greater than yourself, but a desire for personal liberty does not exactly coincide.

Still, good luck to you.

Or even Teraa Matar. You wouldn't be the first Amarrian to join our ranks. Public channel is Teraa Matar if you're at all interested.

Or...Begin your own movement of Amarian Abolitionists. Find a well reasoned, solidly pietistic, theologically sound motivated reason to fight for abolition and gather like-minded Amarrians around you to join the cause. I admire your courage. You will most certainly be accused a heresy for it.

I know exactly what I'd do if I had no war or cause left to fight for. I'd hang up my guns and party down. Then I'd grab up all my ISK, go planetside and maybe start a cake shop or something.

At least he's honest, unlike the majority of drama queens out there who aren't. Counts for something.

I SAW HIM FIRST, DAMMIT. Besides, it would be a cool story to tell. Petrus leaves Ushra'Khan for own corporation, and recruits ex-CVA members.

Maybe good enough for Kazzzi's holoreel?

Our alliance doesn't cater much to empire politics. But, we have many diverse corporations that might fit the bill. And we can always use a good combat pilot. Feel free to contact me, if your interested..

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

I wonder, why not entertain the idea of starting something yourself? It seems to me that you'd be making a mistake by joining former enemies (nobody likes a turn coat...even if they pretend to for a time. Once a back stabber always a back stabber), and even by joining another like minded corp, you seem ripe for a new direction instead of treading along on someone else's ideals.

I'm sure you've made a lot of friends and contacts within the corps in Provi. Why not build on that trust and friendship on your own terms in a corporation of your making that would reflect your deep ethical and moral code? It seems to me you need that kind of challenge.

I'd suppose mr. Cononach is simply too tired to take along the weight of running one. Us Holders, CEOs and such sometimes make running such things seem easier than it really is.
I have to admit I am somewhat torn, that is, don't know what to make of this really. While I would definitely advocate a more... subtle approach to look for a new place under the stars, on the other hand it will definitely be rather amusing to look at all the people desperate for some fresh faces and their respective sycophants.

In any case, I wish you good luck in your pursuit, mr. Cononach.

Because whilst we all have talents, mine does not include leadership. I'm a good wingman, a passionate ideas man, a great writer at times, a good supporter and loyal soldier.....but I'm no leader myself. While I could make excuses, it is what it is.

In this time, I also lack the spacetime to devote to leadership of a group. And nothing is worse than silent, unavailable, absentee leadership. I've been blessed to work with real leaders, like Equi, and some not so great leaders (no fault of theirs, just not available or lacking time).

The idea of an Amarrian Abolitionist Open Faith Supporting group sounds appealing, but truth is it would be on very limited niche support, and during the night shift of EVE, where I live, it's hard enough to find any pilots, must less supporters of such a spefici and limited ideological cause.

No, probably best I do what I do best. When in space, grab my Maled, tackle things, get blown up but help my side win the fight by blowing up bigger things. Thats pretty much my resume, in a nutshell.

6'5", 350 since you ask. Not all Amarr are short of stature, and I tend to be of the Porkins Variety.

I'll admit Kazz, I'm a bit suprised at your sarcasm. I expected a different response, frankly. I'd enjoy speaking with you in in space some point soon.
