Running multiple clients with different startup settings

I've googled, forum searched, and evelopedia searched without luck. Here's what I would like to do...

I run 2 instances of the game at the same time, each on their own monitor (full screen windows mode on Win7 64-bit -- in case that matters). When I start the first instance, it appears on Monitor #1. When I start the second instance, it also appears on Monitor #1. I then go into the settings and set it for monitor 2 and everything is fine.

My issue is that I find it annoying to have to change the settings every single time I want to start a second instance (was thinking about 3 on 3 monitors soon, so this would be even more of a pain). Is there a way to start the game so that each instance appears on its own monitor without my having to change the settings every single time? I'm thinking along the lines of command line parameters or some such.

I had originally planned on trying multiple client installs, but I'm pretty sure that won't help because everything is stored in a central users folder (man, I really hate this idea of a central users folder that always existed in Unix and Microsoft picked up on -- I'd love an OS that separates program installations in protected regions like apps in user space. But I digress...)

Had the same problem, solution was easy :)
Copy EvE to another drive or partition.
Since the settings per client are under c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\d_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility , make another copy on c: drive (or any other aside D), so now under EvE in appdata you would get setings for eve client located on C or E or F or wherever you put it. That other client location can be set up to load on secondary monitor by default.
My primary eve client is on I: for main monitor full screen, alt for smaller screen is on D drive, alt for full screen is on H drive.
This is lazyness 101, not changing any settings, just clicking an icon to load a client with each location different.

Alternatively you can make two separate copies of the client directory on the same drive and add "/LUA:OFF" (without the quotes) to the end of the Target field of their respective shortcuts.

This causes each client to keep their cache directories locally in their respective client directories and create separate directories the the APPDATA area.

Thanks for the replies! Especially to a slightly bitter/emotion post. Thanks for ignoring that part and taking the time to answer.

I will give this a try tonight.

or you could click on the first thing that comes up when you type "eve online two clients with different settings" into google. junctions Only uses one copy of the client, just run each in fixed window mode and enjoy your different settings
