The only way i've found to get instant invitations (from repuable FCs) all the time is:
-Make a name for yourself as a logi pilot, fly at least semi-pimped
-Fly something so ludacrisly pimped that the FC contemplates inviting you to gank

Everyone else who isn't personally associated with the organizer(s) will be in queue at least some of the time.
