Probably Advanced Spaceship Command V… I wanted to train for caps but realized too late the amount of skills implied ;)

Train to your remap instead of remaping to your training.
Yes it will suck being in a destroyer way to long, is well worth it by the end of year 1.
(( Max your sp per hour ))

Buy every skill you can train them all to 3. Takes little effort/time. So little effort that you can train things not part of your remap as they are all so short you only lose a few hours worth of sp by the time you get them all handled.

End up with the most amount of skill in total posible for the least amount of time.

Try everything you train. Learn to mine/haul/mission/pvp/probe/trade.

Regret nothing.

FOF and Defender missiles - maybe because I only trained them to Lvl 1 or 2 but they both seem pretty useless

Defenders are useless, FOF are ok -> semi afk ratting in 0sec is priceless, specially when you are dual boxing 2 anoms on 2 accounts, you dont have to pay attention on second account actually...

I regret the following:

All mining skills I have (can fly mining barges /o\ ) !!! I found out I just couldnt sniff rocks :\
Caldari BS 5 and cruise spec -> because ppl told me how raven is great for PVE - it isnt, amarr BS are 100x better in EM weak rat space, and Ill never jump into chimera

I.

If you train for a rattlesnake you will find out that every skill listed in this text is very useful.

Caldari bs 5 for the bonus

Cruise missles are great on a RS. I trained my cruise spec to 5 for it and well worth it.

F.0.F's and defenders shine on all gurista ships. Defenders can make taking down a AE bonus room solo something you actually want to do. F.0.F's are great when jammed no matter if it's pvp or pve.

Now here is the real shocker: Mining barge is usefull. Why? Because it's on the way to Orca. Gurista ships are tiny. You can fit unpackaged worm, gila, noctis in an orca. You now have a Ship that can take down L4's with a nice support crew that all travels with the orca (( hauler)). Worm for opening up L1's. Gila for 2's and 3's. Noctis for salvage.

Maybe this isn't something your interested in but I trained all the skills you don't like and don't regret a single one.

I'm a little in this camp, although I do manage to mine every now and again when there's nothing else to do in my wh. I'm probably the most bitter about my caldari cap alt. Been waiting for years for the chim to have enough cpu to fit without lololol amounts of pimp and the phoenix to be able to hit moving barns, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards yet. At least the rhea is awsome. Ugh

Survey V. It used to be a prereq for something I don't even remember, but now it's utterly useless to me. Also they changed that prereq about 2 weeks after I trained it.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Also I regret ghost training hydromagnetic physics 5 because I only have one research agent.

Interceptors V.

I was young...and stupid...and had just taken over this acct from my daughter.

Interceptors man! COOL!

Trained up for it and all the skills needed for it...I remember the day I could fly the CROW! The CROW man! An INTER----CEPTOR!

Got in and started to fit it...was real confused. SOMETHING has to be wrong!

Played with it for a few days...took it out for some Pew Pew.

Went on the internet (which I should have done day 1) and confirmed what I was finding out. The Crow is a complete piece of ****.

Never in Eve have I ever been that disappointed. Well, Golem was close :D

Never used an interceptor since. However, not sure I regret it too much...I may get to use it someday but at the time it was like WTF!

Tutorial told me to train mining. Since I was new and confused I trained mining. Haven't used it since I got out of that and thought "wow Im gonna make iskies!!!!" Stopped 5 minutes later and reprocessed every miner I have received since. I will sell miners, won't use them.

my eveboard

Other then that I dont regret what I've trained.

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

Exhumers V. And anything else relating to mining and industry. I haven't flown a Hulk in the manner it was intended for over a year or two, and have no intention of going back. Mining is bloody boring, I hate it. If I must do something semi-afk, I may as well grab a Domi and make more isk for my laziness.

Also Adv. Spaceship Command in its entirety. I have no intention of flying caps, so why the hell did I go and waste all that time on that? The upshot is I'm literally a couple of hours from an Amarrian/Caldari dread/carrier should I ever change my mind.

The Gaming MoD - retro to modern, console to MMO, I blog about it if it's a game and I'm interested in it. Yes, I play games other than Eve and I don't care if you think I'm wrong.

Marauders...for golem.

Not a bad ship jsut not the ship for me. CCP tricked me,,,day 1 gave me missions rats it worked well on. Flew up to me to die, not alot of small stuff. Big alpha, small mission times. then the honeymoon was over. Wtf...why is this rat kiting even javelin range. Yay, more small crap to kill. Waste time on drone kills or waste isk to get torps to speed it up.

Hopign vargur makes this not regrettable when I hit a perc/will respec again. Course that isn't for months, that bs 5 not coming anytime soon.

Same. Two of the most useless skills to ever have graced EVE. Probably worse than the mining skills. Sad

Everything related to mining and industry, but to be fair, a lot of those skills came with my character back when you started with ~900k SP. I thought industry would be fun. It wasn't.

OMG i beat you all

try this on for size

ADVANCED DRONE INTERFACING 5

My main has 40 mil sp, I would cut that in half to just have a focused mini pilot instead of a pimp carrier pilot. My carrier was fun, then i realized drones suck, not as much as hybrids, but they suck.

Yes, I complain about things I don't like.

Laboratory Operation - Accidentally injected it thinking it was the skill for jump clones (doh!)

It is currently at 0 and will remain at 0 for all eternity :P

I really hate to say it but I regret training for Gallente strategic cruisers. I had lost one on numerous occasions (it was returened like 3 times) to some weird bug where it was like the subsystems weren't there and it flopped miserably, practically instapopping. Sometimes if I changed fit subsystems wouldn't load at all and it would have no resists and the ehp of a shuttle, which explains the instapops. I know there was a bug a while back where skillpoints were not being applied but as far as I can tell the problem reamins. I tested it on Sisi a couple months back and sure enough the weirdness came back with a vengeance. Could not even undock and had to delete the fit and create a new one but eventually it too would screw up so I gave up on it altogether. Filed a bug report but haven't heard anything back.Straight

Yeeee!

Veldspar Processing 5, and everything else related to mining. Thankfully, I got podded after forgetting to update my clone, and lost Mining Barge 5.
