I have never used Amarr Cruiser V, Recon Ships V, or Large Projectile Turret V. Want to get into a Mach for missions but can't afford it, trained Recons and Amarr Cruiser because I've always thought the Curse is the coolest looking ship in the game but I have no practical use for one.

I'm a little in this camp, although I do manage to mine every now and again when there's nothing else to do in my wh. I'm probably the most bitter about my caldari cap alt. Been waiting for years for the chim to have enough cpu to fit without lololol amounts of pimp and the phoenix to be able to hit moving barns, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards yet. At least the rhea is awsome. Ugh

If I had known how much Winmatar are used I wouldn't have bothered training Hybrids or Armour tank at all.

As a player of 1-year just now "getting it," I feel you.

I would love to get time spent back on weapons outside of hybrid, odd ship type racials, plus wasted corporation management and planetary skills. That plus a couple others no doubt would net me 15 - 20 days or so back on stuff that floats my boat (like a black ops Widow!!!! Like Zoolander I think that ship is really, really good-looking!) And it not a ship for ants! It's just as tall as it should be.

Omber processing II maybe… but beyond that, not much tbh.
Even the rest of the mining stuff proved useful when the Orca was released.

I've never mined or flown an orca with my alt and i never did any missions with my main.

I trained Cruise Missiles to 5, then Cruise Missile Spec to 4. I then went on holiday and when I came back, Stealth Bombers had been changed to use Torps.

In nearly 7 years of playing EVE, I am yet to fire a cruise missile.

Anything to do with mining or pi that I trained I wish I hadn't, and I wish I could take my skills put into gallante ships into minmatar.
Everything else though I'm happy with, mainly because I'm an indecisive skiller. Only plan I've managed to stick to for more then a month is the golem prereqs. Even then I keep putting them on hold for a day or two.

Caldari BS V. I mainly trained it for the Golem, then I realized I prefer the Tengu for PVE. Mobility, less micro and more range outweighs the advantages of a Golem 90% of the time imho; besides, I mostly dwell in WHs nowadays. From 37M SP that's probably my biggest regret, alongside the 140K SP in industry.

Also, everything related to mining on my alt. I hate mining. Smile

I like all my skills.

But there is one that drives me insane, stares me in the face slightly mocking me and my slight OCD impulses

Mining Lv2

Stands there never used just adding another category to the sheet, didn't even train it, forced upon me. The sooner I can burn out that blight the happier I'll be.

Clearly there is an element of eve pilots that plan their skillplans by doing the following.

(1) Get pwned by a shiny ship, decide to train for it. After getting pwned as soon as they undock realise they dont have the pilot skill to actually fly the thing well. Coincidentally these pilots also seem to post on here asking for specific ship buffs/nerfs.

(2) Happen to be walking outside (a rare occurence) when noticing a cloud that kind of looks like a ship they saw undock once in Jita. Time to train for that bad boy.

(3) Whilst looking through the skills and training menu, sneeze. The resulting mucus kind of looks like an arrow pointing at a certain skill. Time to train it.

Come on guys there is literally hundred's, if not thousands of hours worth of research posted on the internet. No excuse for wasting hundreds of hours training a skill that is completly useless......well to you anyhow.

Oh and to the OP I recommend revisiting a Curse, with Recon V it is a very nice ship.....if you can fly the thing correctly ofc.

To those that plan and it just doesnt work out. Well I feel your pain I can pilot a Drake. Something that makes me deeply ashamed everytime I think about it.
