Can you fit capital ships into a Class 4 wormhole?

Hey all,

I've been trying to research this lately, and seem to get conflicting information on the topic. Some sites/wikis say that capital ships cannot be flown into a Class 4 wormhole, only built there, whereas others have said that if a wormhole from a C5/C6 opens into the Class 4, you can in fact cram Capitals inside.

Can anyone with a decent chunk of experience in wormholes answer this? I've been considering finding an empty C4, but would rather be isolated from capital ship invasions if possible.

While I really don't know for sure, I would surmise from the others I have seen that you cannot. It seems any WH that spawns retains the mass limits of the lower WH.

For example, a C6 WH to a C1 would retain the C1's mass limits (nothing over BC).

I'm sick of this god damn question.
No, you CANNOT jump a capital into a C4, move on.
Orca not included.

Edit: Emphatic 'no' poisting prior to mine noted ... while I was typing :-) I guess if that's the case, then someone needs to edit that wiki page.

I never had any cap-ship visitors in my C4, but have always understood that that was possible. In C3s, 2s, and 1s the cap-ships you see in system were built there and cannot leave that system intact. In a C4 it is possible to jump cap-ships in from, or out to, C4/5/6 systems providing the characteristics of the wormhole itself allow the mass.

No wormhole connecting w-space to hisec or to C1, C2, or C3 w-systems is large enough to allow a capital ship (I wish I still had my database here to quote the numbers for you ... but my work admins seem to have somehow noticed that it's not really work related).

Not yet tested but thus is my understanding FWIW.

Item 14: "Capital ships can get into a class 4, 5 or 6 wormhole only but may be build directly in lower classes."

p.s. capitals do not trigger cap-ship-spawns in C4s, only C5s and 6s.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

It is misinformed ignoramuses like this which lead to ROTEM's reputation for being jackanapes.

Having built caps in C4's, can confirm that we could never get them through to C5's or C6's.

I have yet to see a WH related wiki/info page that is actually accurate and useful.
I think the E-UNI one is the worst ive seen (at least was last i read it) but theyre all varying levels of crap.

You do realize that most Wiki pages, including the E-UNI one, can be edited by just about anybody? Then again, it's much easier just to whine about bad information than do the legwork to correct it.

Having lived in wormholes for over a year, C6,C2,C1,C5,C4
You can only fly build-in capitals in c4 and below.
You can fly capitals in and out of c5 and c6.

Everyone saying anything else is a darn liar.
