Did you disable and then reenable to see if that had any effect?

Did you make sure your speakers on plugged in?

Did you check to see if it was just Eve having sound issues?

Did you make sure you volume wasn't muted?

Sound was releised with crucible. i only turned on the importanz stuff, like when i get shot at :D

I wouldn't know. Right from the start, Jukebox kept crashing EVE with LAME errors. I had to disable sounds to play.

Yes, been through the petition, update drivers rigmarole.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Sometimes I've had patches reset the World Volume slider to zero, so that might be it...
If not, make sure your sound kit is working properly and connected.
Failing even that, Windows 7 has a Volume Mixer that lets you control the volume of individual programs. If you are using 7, start EVE and make sure the slider for it in the mixer is high enough.

It's happened to me once. I run 3 clients on 3 monitors. Once, my main client lost it's "window priority" setting or something, and I couldn't alt-tab windows in front of it (like a browser), thus I had to minimize the entire client to bring up a window on that screen that wasn't behind the client.

Also the sound was out on just that one borked client window. I relogged, and normal windows function returned, along with sound. So it's probably related.

I haven't had the jumpgate sound follow me around all creation and back in a good long while.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.
