So im going to be grinding L1's and L2's in a short hile. Question is, what ship should i use?

My training plan accounts for only frigs currently, but all types are available including faction and T2.

What frigate would be the best for blitzing L1-L2 missions? Pimping out the ship is on the cards aswell if it helps.

Level 1 missions. Whatever you enjoy, or feel like, flying.

Level 2s are more suited to low-skill cruiser, but if you can fly any frig including T2s then a good frig (e.g. assault ship) should be fine. If your skills are good then level 2s in t1 frigate are going to be fine.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

A Dramiel can handle most lvl 2s. Ishkur is usually the PVE ship of choice though.

When I have done it, I used an ishkur. Dunno if it was the fastest. But it was the most fun.

It depends on the rats you're facing, but I really liked the Slicer for this. Tried the Worm; didn't care for it and the Ishkur was better. Dramiel and Daredevil were both ok.

Edit: Thrasher is damn near op for this too.

Caracal, nice cheap ship, fit it for a buffer tank, use 2 drones and light missiles and blast away.

Navy Slicer / Retribution.

For standing grids later on Zealot/Legion are the ships of choice, offering a lot of range, dps, ok speed and superb anti frig ability's.

I have found the Ishkur to be a wonderful little ship for mission-running. Blasters for up close work, drones for those pesky targets that are too dangerous up close, or simply too far away to be worth MWDing over to. I have also thoroughly enjoyed a Blarpy, rail-harpy, hawk, and jaguar.

What I found to be the most fun was the Ishkur.

I'm using the Thrasher for speeding through lv1 but only cause i need standings .. dam Amarr

Anyhow .. accepting more than 1 mission a time also helps get things done, i'm currently accepting 2 missions at a time from the same station, lots less docking & getting new missions.

Ishkur, Vexor, Ishtar, Gila, or Arby is my reccomendation.

Aside from drones, an AML tengu really rips through frigs, and moves from acceleration gate to gate quicker than a drake.

Frigs are fine, but in my view, drones are the best weapon system for PVE, especially since you don't need to lock on, the drones can actually kill faster than your lock time in some missions.

hawk is quite good at lv 1/2 farming. can shoot 1 missile at most ships in a lv1 and they kaboom.

and a frigs lock time is usually faster than drone travel time, although the missile travel time sucks at times.

Last week I did them in my thrasher with double MSE II and all modules related to speeding up shield regen. Only one or two missions were hard enough to force me to warp out to help my shields get back to ok state but I think it's due to a fact that I did not fit resists proper to type of rats I was facing. Others were easy and no panic button was pressed.

I've used a Caldari Navy Hookbill to blitz level 1/2s. Fast, selectable damage, nice tank, good range, murders frigs and cruisers.

Drones. Use drones. Last year I had to fix some standings and tried a number of ships on l1s and 2s. Too much flying involved without drones and low range on guns. I guess scorch might make it bearable but as I say, drones will make it as painless as possible. Maybe a Vexxor, Worm, or Ishtar.

If it's about standings do the SOE arc every 3 months.

Just sentrykill out those frigs in a Vexor from the spot you arrived.

Used a Thrasher back at the time and it was easy.
On another alt I used a Caracal and it was even easier, like instant-easy.

What would you advice for T1 amarr pilot with t2 guns? Slicer/Navy Slicer?

Slicer. Accept no substitutes.

It will lock faster and travel to gates faster if those come up. Scorch should give you 15-20km range. Decent skills/AB should push you over 1km/s speed.

I don't know how drone ships would compare, but they take many more SP than a Slicer with T2 guns.
