Hello, capsuleers of New Eden, and a happy new 114 to you all. I am Princess Jenessa el-Lydaar of the Kingdom of Greater Faaldonia on Gallente Prime, Karskess of Syndbridge, and 4th in line to the throne, which is currently occupied by my father, Archking Sebastien el-Lydaar. We have been members of the Federation since a few decades after its founding, though like many sub-planetary authorities in the alliance, our affairs are our own.

Upon becoming a capsuleer myself, I find myself humbled. For all the fuss I make as a member of the nobility of my homeland, it is ultimately trivial and inconsequential when placed alongside other pilots, who could crush me with a simple thought at a moment's notice (when plugged into the pod, at least). I have graduated from the University of Caille with joint honors in Economics and Law, and as I get acquainted to spaceside affairs, I hope to pursue my postgrad course of Pre-Federation Caldari Politics. Alas, my background and experience as an educated, mostly ceremonial stateswoman means nothing as a mere "rookie" capsuleer. For this reason, I enter the world of the pod pilot seeking to make as little enemies as possible.

Faaldonia is a desert kingdom on the Luminaire VI homeworld, with a population of 56 million. We have existed since the times of the Garoun Empire, and thus our history is long and rich, but casts nothing more than a blip on the wider, pre-spacefaring history of the Gallente. Like many pre-industrial states across the homeworlds of New Eden, we operated a feudal system, with territories being ruled over by a Karske or Karskess, the equivalent of a Holder in the Amarr Empire. Water was a particular problem, as was arable land, so the influence of the Karske did not rest on military strength, but simply how much water and farmland the domain possessed. It was thus very important to trade and cooperate between the lesser territories, as there would be little to gain from infighting, especially considering the threats of enemy states. Because of how precious water was, it is regarded as holy and divine in Faaldonian culture. We worship a water goddess known as Irna, who provides energy and fertility to all living things. In the spacefaring Garoun pantheon, she is known as Amauté.

In the Industrial and Information Ages on Gallente Prime, it was discovered that Faaldonia was rich in fossil fuels, particularly crude oil. As a result, we became rich through trade and commerce with other states, especially the major powers such as the Kingdom of Central Garoun and the United Republic of Kynpross. However, with the advent of modern technology and clean fuels, we began to fall out of the limelight. We only joined the Federation under the heavy-handed policies of the Ultra-Nationalists during the early days of the Gallente-Caldari War, but suffice to say, Faaldonia remains much the same as always. During globalization, we adopted a democratic system as did many other states on the homeworld, today a constitutional monarchy where the role of myself and my relatives is merely ceremonial, and as a source of impartial, apolitical leadership.

I was enrolled to become a capsuleer in the hopes of establishing an interstellar presence for my homeland. In the grand scheme of things, this presence will be negligible, and will in no way present a threat to any one of you reading this. Of course, the actions of myself, no matter how mundane by capsuleer standards, will hopefully be of a great benefit to my people. Faaldonia never established any extraplanetary colonies during the early days of Gallente spaceflight, but thanks to the CONCORD Planetary Development Treaty, it is hoped that we may be able to reap the benefits of interplanetary development. I have little interest in Federation affairs, so long as they do not affect my homecountry and my people, and I certainly have even less interest in the foreign affairs with other spacefaring empires. With this in mind, I hope to make friends in space, and do feel free to drop me a message or commline; I will be more than happy to make your acquaintance.

It is so lovely to hear from you, Your Highness, and congratulations on your recent achievements.

Betsey and I were so excited to meet you at the runway show in Caille last year. I do hope you enjoyed it. We worked very hard on the spring collection and I am proud to say it was fabulously successful. As I have now returned to my capsule, Betsey has remained planetside to continue the brand. She gave me a peek at her sketches for next season and there are quite a few looks that are positively regal! Do give her a call if you're interested. I'm sure she would be honored and thrilled to see you again, as would I.

Now, Lady Jenessa, I am currently involved in matters in Branch, but I would be quite honored to meet with you and discuss the perils and privileges and joys of life as a pod pilot, and perhaps introduce you to the Gentlemen in Cloud Ring. Have your staff contact mine to make the arrangements and I will be at your service.

I would say hi, but, knowing my public reputation, that would come across as a bit dubious.

Why hello to you too, Miss Johnson. I do look forward to seeing Betsey's sketches if I ever get an opportunity to speak to her again. I do hope things beyond the frontier remain splendid and profitable for you and your colleagues.

And don't be silly, General Inhonores. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, too.

Greetings Princess el-Lydaar and well wishes. May God light your path. Though, I would recommend that you beware Mr Caine, for if you make him upset, he may send his band of merchants to economically destroy your homeland with a wave of his hand.

Interesting, I didn't know the Fed government was setup that way.

On behalf of our countrymen around the cluster, I bid you welcome, your Highness. You've taken a bold step into a boundless and unknowable realm. May the smiles of Remelac and Botresse ever shine upon you as you find your place here.

P.S. I must confess, I've never had the opportunity to visit the homeworld, and as an archaeologist's son I find your culture's history to be quite intriguing. Good luck once more. Smile

Greetings and salutations Your Royal Highness, Princess Jenessa el-Lydaar
I congratulate you on graduating from the University of Caille and becoming a capsuleer. It is so good to see that the antiquities of the Gallente Federation are still alive and not merely puréed by the bureaucratic machine that is our fair governmental system. But I guess being diversified is what makes us Gallente. No, no, we all retain our identity and that is why there is such a fascination with the “has-been” nobility. The puppet figures kept around in the lime light to placate the masses with their scandals and tabloid stories.

But even you are aware enough to recognize that you and your house have no political pull. No Princess, I did not send this to mock your political stature, you have none. But rather to discuss your value and your value is inflated simply because you’re a celebrity. How much of a ransom would your father pay to see that you are safely returned once you “mysteriously” disappear? Or more importantly, how much of a price could you fetch as an indentured concubine to a Sansha Warlord? I suspect you would make a fitting prize; I nice piece of asset to show off *smirks*.

To be sure Princess, the Amarrians are not the only nation to practice slavery.

You see Princess, now that you are off world, it will make things so much easier. Space is large and it’s quite easy to get “lost”.
Watch the shadows Princess.

Saisieni, new pilot.

Take everything you read here with a grain of salt.. or more wisely, the entire shaker of salt. People here tend to have egos inflated well beyond the size of their battleships.

If you'd like a friend, you can find many though. I for one welcome you with open arms to space. Theatrics aside, it's a nasty world out here, and friends are an essential and precious commodity.
