ok

So obviously number 1 is to fix the disappearing posts. It gets really annoying when you have a long post, or even just in general. Seems to be tied to when you're creating an OP or when you're quoting someone else.

2) When someone else posts on a thread you've subscribed to, only stack them if they haven't been viewed yet. Once that stack of posts have been viewed then don't show them anymore. It's hard to keep track of where the new comments are when it continuously shows posts that you've already viewed in a stack with new posts. So once i've looked at new posts on a thread, then remove them from my alerts flag all together.

3) When I click to view new posts on a thread, take me to the first post that I I haven't viewed, similar to how it takes you directly to posts people have liked.

4) Allow the blue dev post markers beside a thread to be clickable and to take you directly to that dev post. If clicked and there are more than one dev post in that thread, then it will take you to the most recent dev post. If someone wants to find an old dev post, then they can search for it.

5) BETTER MONITORING BY CCP. I have seen many of good ideas be discussed as well as many conversations with people on both sides of the fence and they have received many comments. These discussions are typically in the most commonly posted ideas and it annoys the crap out of a lot of players. If CCP would just monitor these discussions more and make comments on them such as why the changes can't be made, if the changes are in discussion, will the be brought up in the next round table, what ideas CCP has in relation to the topic, whether CCP thinks the idea is workable or not. Things like this. Simple comments like this are what just about every posters is waiting for to identify whether a suggestion is valid, crap, or worth more looking into.

6) In the big blank space off to the left of all the thread links of each and every forum area, show all the most recent Dev posts. What I mean by this is a simple comment link that shows what forums it has been posted on and what the topic is. This is simple enough to give the player enough information to know whether they care about that topic enough to click the link to that dev comment. The area to the left of all the threads is a big blank area anyway, so why not put something there that pertains to the threads.

That's it...Thanks for listening, if anyone has anymore suggestions on this topic feel free to add them into the discussion....

Really your suggestions make sense, except this one. Forum GMs aren't game devs and even game devs might not have any say in the game design depending on their actual job.

This is true, but simple posts like "I like this idea and I'll bring it up next chance I get" or "This topic is in discussion" "This is where CCP sits on this topic" "CCP is currently working on this topic, and your comments may help, so thanks"

Simple posts like this that don't necissarily give any information on what they're doing in relation to the topic are enough to satisfy most players in knowing that at least our comments are being read.

Now, if CCP actually has some information on these topics and what changes they have in the books so far for it, then it would be nice to know.

I hate to bring up WoW, but the one thing they did that I enjoyed was that long before they ever released a patch there were links to it to show exactly what changes they were making in that next patch in full. If they decided to remove or modify some changes, then they would mark it out, or highlight the new changes, etc. etc.
Point is that in doing this they gave players the opportunity to see what was coming up, and they could actually get tons of feed back on certain changes that would actually help them in balancing the game. While WoW is boring as hell, the one thing I enjoyed was knowing what was up and coming, and not a week before it actually happened.

CCP game dev may not know what's in the works and what isn't. I'm sure UI designers or QA guys don't know a thing about new ships or balance changes. Forum GMs just moderate the game and forums and aren't involved in dev proicess in any way. And on top of that all those people have RL life.

And even if they know that dont mean they're allowed to tell what they know. I dont wat to sound rude, but you're just showing your lack of knowledge how big company works.

Oh now, I don't think you're being rude. I've seen many of Dev posts though that don't straight up say "hey this is what we're doing"

Sometimes they may not have the knowledge, and sometimes they may not be allowed to speak about any changes, but if CCP is working on it, I do believe they're at least allowed to state this fact without actually giving any details. They're also allowed to post if they like an Idea and that it will be brought up, and I do believe they can posts that the idea has been brought up.
They can also come in and post actual facts as to why the idea will or won't work. A simple "this is why this won't work" post by an actual dev is enough to end a very heated discussion on a topic because players will take dev facts long before they'll take other players facts.
