Today I logged on after months away and after updating, I launched the game.
Immediately after it authenticated, it went to a black screen with a small spinning grey circle in the bottom left. For a good five minutes, until I alt+tab and right clicked on the taskbar to close EVE. The prompt to say yes or no popped up and the black screen was gone.

Now I have three character slots, barely loading in. I can access the menu but that's it.
