Hey,

As above really.

Whats the deal with 3rd part programs now? Should I still be looking at EvEMon and EFT? or are there replacements now?

*edit* Also keen to understand what inventory program I should consider.

Apparently my characters are worth around 10b in assets but I can't find anything remotely useful from asset tab.

For ship fittings, CCP has added the equivalent of EFT to the in-game fitting screen (there's a button that enables "Ghost Fitting" and pretty much EFT functionality). As a result, it looks like EFT has been abandoned (no patches since then), but for out-of-game you can still use pyfa and osmium.

For examples of popular fittings, battleclinic is defunct; the above osmium website does show popular fittings, and is gaining popularity. Various corps and alliances use fleet-up to give their members direct access to fitting doctrines; the game has functionality to import / export / link ship fittings, so in addition to third-party apps like fleet-up, you can get examples on the in-game chat channels, too.

For skill training, EVEMON is still available, but the game has a time-unlimited skill training queue that allows up to 50 skills to be queued, so basically you set the thing for 6 months and forget about it. Although EVEMON's reverse-lookup features (what are all the skills I need for this ship) are still useful.

For inventory, the game now shows you estimated market values for all items in a container, or what you have selected, but evepraisal is popular for quickly determining the kill value of a scanned ship. It accepts cut/paste from any container in the game, including your assets list, so you can use it for itemized pricing of your junk.

EDIT: The Total Net Worth feature includes your wallet contents, as well as any items or ships anywhere (including in contracts and in market orders). It doesn't look like it includes the value of your character skillpoints, but that's an option nowadays, so you should read up on skill extractors / skill injectors, so you can consider it, if you're trying to figure out what to do with your characters.
