New Module: AoE SigBloom

A battleship and greater module, 30 second cycle, which blooms the sigs of everything within a 10km range by 200% for 5 seconds.

If it was deemed needed, it could be mutually exclusive with a grappler, though the short duration and long cycle time would likely be enough balance.

Potential uses:
1) Increasing sig for faster locks with black ops battleships
2) Brawling battleships get better dps application against smaller stuff
3) ?? your idea here

Conceptually it would basically just be a big sonar pulse.

I think it would be hella-fun to bridge in a black ops ship with bombers... pulse that before you lock the target, all your bombers now get excellent damage application (not that it wasn't already pretty good in most cases) and you get to lock the target before it's dead lol. Everyone wins.

Edit:

Nevermind the 10km thing... 200% sig bloom out to 10km, then have the falloff follow the inverse square law. 50% bloom at 20km, 22% at 30km, etc.

For all intents and purposes that's essentially what a Stasis Webifier does, it's just not AoE.

Making something like this AOE makes it stupidly OP without even getting into what a 200% sig bloom means for tracking targets.

I get that the idea is to give Battleships another tool against smaller ships, but being able to do that to *everything* in a radius just screams abuse. Whether it's letting HAW Titans blap Logi and Frigates or dropping one of these into the middle of a bombing run target and watching the carnage.

Also that's not how falloff works in Eve. Falloff describes an S-curve that hits 50% at optimal + falloff distance and 0% at Optimal + 2x falloff.

Realistically I just see this being abused to make it easier for other stuff to kill other stuff with the Battleships acting as support in some capacity, probably a disposable one.
