Is there anyway to get the old Eve voice back in game. If its a local file it could be relaced easy enough. I like it much better than the current one.

As in the NEOCOM voiced by Aura? "Warp drive active"?

No way to get it back as far as I can tell. Which is a shame too because it's the same voice from the original intro.

"Remember this. Trust your eyes, you will kill each other. Trust your veins, you can all go home."

The old voice was better.

Subjective topic is subjective. I'll never understand why there's so little room for options about this kind of thing in games these days.

Watch out! Around here they will probably ban you for even thinking about client side mods.

Maybe I should of stated it more clearly. If they agreed it was ok. They could post the old voice and let each player decide on which one to use. I don't even know if it is possible. However, the old voice was perfectly fine. Which leads to the old saying "if its not broken don't fix it."

The new one sounds slow and a bit less space-y.
I got used to it after a few weeks (playing music with muted eve sound might have something to do with it).

Would be hilarious to replace it with one of the built in microsoft text to speech packs. Then I'd probably kill myself.

The original voice is the one we know and love, there's no debate about it. Also I think they could have done more with it, perhaps make it a ships computer with voice broadcasts like "shields at 50" or "Adaptive invulnerability field is off/online" the spoken word will always be a good way to communicate the status of something within a scifi environment.

If you look at star trek the ships computer voice (Majel Barrett) sounded lovely in all the series and films, they have been consistent since the 60s using the same actress. Even the new Star Trek Discovery series will have Majel Barrett's voice even though she has passed away RIP.

I remember a few years back 2006/7 they tried to change the Eve computer voice and there was an outcry, everybody complained and within a few hours the server went down they re-patched and put the old voice back. lol

It was waaay better. The new one is a generic scifi voice.

I have turned off sound in EVE when the new Aura was released ... that was 7 months ago.
