Keypresses being Ignored by client

I have an odd problem. The client seems to be intermittently ignoring some of my key presses and only ignoring non-letter/number keypresses.

Examples:
-I have to hit the Escape key anywhere between 4-20 times to get the settings menu open.
-Cut/Copy/paste is extremely hit and miss
-Ctrl click to lock target is basically completely non-functional now.

Other info:
-All letters numbers appear to work fine. The problem seems to be function keys and ctrl or alt combinations so far.
-Verified in other windows applications that these keys are working correctly.

Running WIndows 10
Lenovo U530 laptop
Not really any "odd" software to speak of installed.

Not sure what else to do to troubleshoot this type of issue.
