Make your WH as 'least' appealing as possible?

You are a Solo / Small Corp living in a C1 - C3. You have a home, enjoy the quiet life, whether is be a Astrahaus or POS.

Any ideas on making your WH the least appealing for an eviction party to just pass on by?

Some ideas I'm thinking of would be.

- Leaving Combat Sites up (So they know someone lives here)
- Installing Offline POS's on all the vacant Moons
- Add another Astrahaus in the system
- Anchor Large Warp Bubbles in system (Bubble mechanics changed?)
- Adjust Vulnerability timers so that they are staggered and not at the same time each day. E.g. One at the opposite TimeZone

- Have a full supply of Citadel Fighters ready
- PVP Ships stocked for your alts

And if all else fails

Escape Orcas to flee during they lull in the attack.

This is all to buy time till your friends / mercs to arrive.

Whats your thoughts?

- Leaving Combat Sites up (So they know someone lives here)

You have that backwards. Lots of combat sites generally means the hole is empty or not used. You don't want people to mistake your astrahus for a semi-abandoned one that would be cleared out for somebody looking for a personal ratting hole for their alts.
You want to make sure the combat sites are regularly cleared, and any valuable data/relic sites are cleared.

- Installing Offline POS's on all the vacant Moons

Won't help for very much longer, but until you can no longer anchor a POS, this is a must to make it more difficult to evict somebody. Make sure the stront boxes are always full.

- Add another Astrahaus in the system

This doesn't really do much. Don't go out of your way to clutter the WH with citadels that you really don't have a good use for, you may give the impression that your corp has a lot more members than it really does.

The more important part is to not anchor multiple citadels within the same window.
Some will be eager to form up for an easy unfit astrahus fight and killmaill. Don't go out of your way to make it even more worth while.

- Anchor Large Warp Bubbles in system (Bubble mechanics changed?)

Putting a bubble half way through a fortizar, and killing frigates with point defense when they get warped to 0 and decloaked is fun. Generally, this does more to **** off people scouting your hole than anything, but I highly doubt it would be the determining factor in whether or not you get evicted.

- Adjust Vulnerability timers so that they are staggered and not at the same time each day. E.g. One at the opposite TimeZone

Keep your timers within your time zone, and have a fair number of cheap, t1 cruisers when people show up to shoot your stuff. Keep in mind the intent of the vulnerability timers. You are letting others know when your prime time is, when your group has the most people on. Many groups will be happy with a good fight and leave you be. Many groups won't be happy with you pretending to be afk or not available during the timer YOU selected when that time is in THEIR prime time for playing eve.

If you are in the process of being evicted, or will be, sure; changing the timers to make it annoying for attackers won't hurt. It's not like they will change their mind on evicting you.

- Have a full supply of Citadel Fighters ready
- PVP Ships stocked for your alts

You should be doing both of these anyway. the ONLY time any citadel should be unfit is when it initially anchors. Always keep the citadel's weapons fully stocked, and keeping a stockpile of pvp ships in the corp hanger is very much a best practice in WH space. Make sure you have all your guys formed up and ready to defend it once it is done anchoring and is initially vulnerable.

Also, the shield timer gives you one week to set up any merc/friends to defend for armor....and then you get another week if you learn that you need even more. If you are waiting until structure to defend your citadel, you are wrong. If your citadel isn't entirely cleared out once it is reinforced and lost its armor, any losses of orcas or what have you trying to move crap WHILE IT IS UNDER ATTACK are well deserved, and will likely just make the attackers feel more justified in their actions..

Shield timer doesn't work like that in wormhole space. It's 24 hours of invulnerability once the shield falls, followed by 15 minutes repair timer (paused by sufficient damage and then minimum 30 minutes vulnerability past that thanks to damage caps), and the same for when the armour falls going into structure. Generally if your shield falls that's your early warning, you now have 24 hours to build a defense. If you lose the armour timer, you now have 24 hours to get your **** out because it's unlikely you can beat them after they've already beaten you.

Still, best case scenario as they said, be active during your timer and fight them with cheap t1 stuff. Most wormholers are just looking for a fight and will shoot your structure IF you don't provide one. Usually they need a reason to shoot you, which generally boils down to "they're not shooting us" although some personal vendettas do happen and there are some groups that just exist to evict people.

If someone's put up siege equipment in your system its safe to say they're in it for the long haul though.

Couldn't have said this any better. Black hole or cataclysmic. You'll be fine.

I live in a C3 with static to null sec, and it's really nice.

Not so many visitors, except some russians and/or chineese who like to pod me on regular bases from their C4/C5

I used to live in a C3 with static to HS and it was a hell on earth to manage the visitors, would never do that again.

I would say that if you have let's say 2 larges POS and 2 Astrahus and log on every day, there are very little chances you get evicted or the guys really want your head for some reasons.

If you don't want to be bothered just pick a low demand wormhole. Like a C2 with C2/LS statics. Don't send people death threats and talk about peoples' mothers in local and you will probably be fine.

Or just never talk in local apart from gf after you get thrashed. If you don't get podded, that is. Save the energy you would spend typing for fighting!

I used to live in a C2->C2/LS solo, I was never afraid of an evicting party. This is what I did:

1) Try and keep all sites cleared (excluding ore anoms, I'd rather shoot myself than go mining) if there is nothing to do there, nobody will stay around long enough to realize you are solo
2) Shoot all random visitors (mostly explorers in T1 or astero)
3) Don't be afraid to take bigger fights, even if they are a sure loss, put up a good show.
4) Explore the chain (kill anything you can take on solo) if you find there is an active large pvp group in your chain, immediately roll your connection.
5) Don't lose anything excessively blinged up.

Basically, try to be hard to find, appear to be hard to kill, and don't give the impression you might be worth the effort. Many eviction parties are really just looking for fights, if they do find you, give them a good fight and they may forgo the three day boring structure bash.

The setup I used was a large faction POS: guns, tackle, ecm, hardeners and a reaction array. In case of threat I could offline the reactions and add extra hardeners (already anchored and visible) and an astrahus on the same grid. Vulnerability for the astrahus was set to times that I was nearly always on, but eve was generally quiet (for example, around DT on the weekday that I could work from home)
