@Othran: In that statement i was refering to be able to step into highsec safely and do anything but rating. So, leaving my SS to rot at -1.99 basically :)

@Legionnaire: Sounds fun, and i do have 2 Drakes nearby, but i don't want to lose them. The place where i am ATM has been very violent this last nights. I guess i'll have to find a new 0.0 ground...

I hope this SS mechainc gets changed in the future. I mean, it's painful to have to grind SS back. They could try shortening that 15min-kill-delay... or even remove it. I think many people in lowsec hesitates to kill sometimes because of this inconveniently slow grinding obligation. (at least is how i see it about the ones like me who like to go to highsec frequently) Who knows, maybe this is one of the things that could populate lowsec more.

The SS mechanic is fine. The decision to go pirate actually carries some weight with lasting consequence.

Personally I find going pirate actually pretty liberating and gives low sec a bit of added excitement.

low sec needs the same good BS rats like 0.0

Reason foor this: you cant actually live in low sec forever and defend yourself, you need to either commit to HOURS of jumping low sec systems hunting BS or commanders, or go to 0.0 - and thats for one or two player ship kills, a pod kill is somthing else entirly.

I belive the sec level you live in should have everything you need there to do so, since 0.0 has no sec hits AND the best rats to shoot, it wouldnt hurt to add some extra sec or some extra BS to low sec.

Stop ratting like a chump, put a scanner on, do some sigs, make mad isk, and then if you with all you new found cash and lowered SS want back in to hi sec go.
TThis works in both 0.0 and low-sec, hell it works in .5's if you still only -4.9

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

I'm sure you already have, but I hadn't saw it mentioned yet, but be sure and train up the fast talk skill to at least level 3 or 4. It sucks taking some time away from training pew pew skills, but if your going to go through the pain of ratting at least get more status for your kill so you can wreck your SS all over again Twisted
