Completely new to EVE - looking for Corp - And General Help

Hi Guys, new to EVE, not played before.

I have so far finished the first set of missions and from what iv read while at work today I should now go to a place called Arnon? and do some missions there. Is that right?

Id like a corp that preferably has the option to voice chat on skype, team speak or what ever they use, as I don't really enjoy typing etc while playing.

Any help or advice and an idea of what corp to ask to join would be much appreciated

If your interested, after finishing the career agent missions, You could join a factional Warfare Corp. I think you'd love it in any corp in the alliance Ushra'Khan... I myself am in the US but they are extremely helpful towards newbros, and fw is a great way to get a hang of things pvp related. A lot of members in Ushra'Khan , specifically TRIAD are from the UK so you would be not short of any help being from the UK and all, I typically play during UK hours and that's when the most members seen to come on, I'm still sort of new to pvp myself, took a break for about a month and about to get back into eve.

No straight answer for this really, it depends what kind of vibe you're going for. Some will suggest a large nulsec power block like Goons or PL / Horde for quick income. Some will suggest a hisec training corp like EvE Uni to get your feet first. Some will suggest small groups for that tight knit "everyone is important" feeling. All of them could be correct but it really comes down to what you want.

You should probably watch out for all the "you should join us, we're great" responses unless they actually give legitimate reasons why they're great. The vast majority will be dead end hisec corps who pretend to do everything while doing nothing, or dirty renters who want your money.

Most corps worth their salt in EvE will use some form of voice coms, while corps that don't generally get farmed by those that do.

Feel free to get hold in game (eve mail) if you'd like me to look some possibilities up for you or you have any more specific questions.

Hello and welcome to Eve.

If you've already completed all 5 Career Agents, then yes it would be a good idea to go see Sister Alitura at Arnon IX - Moon 3 - Sisters of EVE Bureau station and do the level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc.

The arc will give you some basic piloting experience while you continue training up your Core Fitting Skills as well as make some ISK. Not to mention plenty of time to decide which Career Path you want to pursue here in Eve.

CCP Flight Academy video tutorials are available in game via the help menu (F12) or on YouTube.

The corporation you choose should focus on the type of gameplay you prefer and the better ones are selective with a fairly substantial recruitment process to insure you fit their culture.

Most corporations have voice comms - teamspeak, mumble or discord.

Another thing, what is the best type of ship to be using? Is there such a thing as "best?"

Obviously iv seen some massive capital ships and thought to myself... YES I WANT THAT!

But I am also aware that once you lose a ship, its gone for good.

Ships are tools, and there is no such thing as the "best tool" in general, but only the best tool for a particular task. And remember: Tools get broken.
