Long story short I'm stuck in my home wormhole with out a probe launcher. I'm offering 700 million ISK for core probe launcher left inside a jetcan or for the static high sec exit system J173842. Payment will be made once I have the probe launcher or the bookmark for the static high sec. Evemail me once inside system stated above.

Why not just eject your ship and pod out to get a new scanning ship in HS?

Go to the in-game channel "Eve-scout" Talk to the friendly folks in there. They may be able to help you. Good luck! o7

I was in the same boat once, I kept logging in and out over 3 days before someone passing through scanned the HS for me, cost me 100m to get out. I doubt anyone will provide you with the probe launcher or the BM before wanting the ISK though, there is nothign stopping you not paying them.

One of those lessons that stings quite a bit. I had a couple Prospects and a can chaser in J space, everything dutifully bookmarked, all that. The chaser took on a full load, warped to the bookmark, the book mark doing a magnificent job except for the fact that the gate was just, well, gone. Upset more for my stupidity than anything else I blew the lot up, including pods. Lesson learned, I do not fly anything into a WH without launcher and probes.

She can eject from ship, bookmark the location, self destruct pod, and then make her way back in with an exploration frigate. But, if it has been too long it is likely that all known entry points will have been lost by the OP.

For this to work the OP must have recently scanned down a wormhole to K-space, and have some knowledge the system which it leads to. If she doesn't know this, then podding herself is a one way trip and this ship cannot be saved. There is also some risk that somebody might scan down said ship, board it, and/or blow it up. Considering that she is offering 700 Million ISK as a reward we can safely assume that the value of ship and cargo is 1 Billion ISK or more.

That isn't essential - and I have sucessfully operated combat and harvesting ships in W-space without a probe launcher. The trick is to always provide some contingency plan for self rescue. One way to do this is to anchor a mobile depo in the wormhole at a saved bookmark with a core probe lancher and probes.

Though, more commonly for extended nomadic wormhole operations I will put a rescue ship into the wormhole. This ship is nothing more than a tech 1 scanning boat piloted by an alpha clone and logged off inside the wormhole.

The other option is to adopt the "carry all" approach. You fit your ship for cargo, and bring in with you a mobile depo, scanning, combat, harvesting modules, and extra ammunition. Everything you will need for an extended stay. You should also carry extra sets of core probes, because, when left deployed these can be lost. While working the hole your extra stuff is storred in the depo. Before you log off you refit for cargo, stow everything. Using this method it is possible to go for weeks without docking, be entierly self sufficient, and work without a trace.

TL;DR: The simplest and easiest method for self rescue is to get yourself an alpha clone, in your corporation, put it in a scanning ship, and log it off in the wormhole. It costs you nothing, and if you do this you will never loose a ship.

Very interesting, I may actually try some of this. Thanks for the tip.

I see you on d-scan right now. Send me 500 mil and I'll drop a BM to an exit at the sun.

This method got me out with a 10mil cost :

1. drop a jetcan in space and rename it for anyone who sees it to eve-mail you
2. log in every 2 hours (lifetime of jetcan) to answer mail or repeat step 1
3. offer a proper sun to whomever mails you

This is the best advice.

I keep an alpha scanner in my wh logged off for GTFO emergencies only, i log in once in a while to load some skills, log out and forget about him.

I am a miner, mission runner, and explorer...

or as EVE Online would have it...
