Hey folks,

I've been reading about these types of ships and was wondering what the consensus was on them as what you read on the net is often old. Although, from what I've read they can be a lot of fun if done properly.

Some question that sprang to my mind were:

1. Are they used a lot these days?
2. Any way/tell-tale signs to spot them or any red flags that you should notice?
3. Any really good ships that serve this purpose (I read that shield tanked Scorpions with shield boosters and resists were OK at this)?
4. Do you just have to go against the traits bonuses and make a totally unpredictable ship that surprises any attackers?
5. Anyone have any recommendations or are there any prerequisites to using these types of ships that one should be aware of?
6. Do they work solo (if, then how)...or do you need others on the team in the next system etc.?
7. Or do you think I'm crazy to be considering it? Lol
8. Anyone with experience of using these ships to good effect out there?

Any replies or help would be swell as thinking of trying to spice things up a bit as am flying mostly solo atm and want to try something risky.

Most PVP corps use bait tactics now and then. Most won't post what they use as bait for obvious reasons. In most cases the bait just ensures tackle and once the prey can’t get away a couple of DPS ships join the party. Best bait is whatever looks unsuspicious under the given circumstances and wasn’t used too much for baiting recently. But on the other hand I heard people engage SLYCE Procurers.

Maybe I'm asking to much of a sensitive question...so you could well be right there and not many replies for obvious reasons...haha.

One point lesson on whether the ship is bait or not
1. Did you die to a horrible blob(N+1 counts as a blob now so if you're flying solo and 2 people kill you it's considered blobbing) then it's a bait ship.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

As stated above the best bait ship is one that doesn't look like bait. These ships are PvP fitted while doing PvE, so if you are trying to be bait just use your normal PvE ship and fit it for PVP
