I am curious to see what people think of implementing public events that occur randomly on a timer etc, details up for debate. Number of events per 24hrs, locations, & the like needs some discussion on what would work. This would also allow CCP to choose where the event will take place, and thus be able to reinforce that node in advance to anticipate the battle to come.

I am sure some are aware of games like Guild Wars 2 and others MMO's featuring "Public Events" that occur and draw nearby players into content. I think this could be an interesting feature, and leaves a lot of possibilities for the future for new enemies to fight and things of that nature.

We could have enemy fleets warp in (With the new blood raider AI ; this could enable some exciting engagements)
The possibilities are endless so i'd love to hear some of your ideas as well. We could have enemies warping in on Empire fleets and we are tasked to join in a defense of Empire space ! I think that would be really exciting.
Adding to that concept, perhaps even randomized attacks on player SOV structures. (Needs feedback, not sure if people will like that feature.)

I think this would be interesting as well, for example if an event started in lowsec or nullsec, you can expect it to draw nearby players, and EVE shows us both allies and enemies will be made. It creates a decision of risk vs reward for the player as well, "do I wait for an event in highsec, or do I try for this one here with maybe better rewards"

All just thoughts I've had from experiences in other games I have enjoyed.

Let me know what you think ! I'm eager to hear everyone's ideas & thoughts.

This is what incursions are meant to be at a basic level. Though they should be more dynamic.
But when dealing with space and distance rather than having everyone zoned by 'level' you need events to run over several days to allow people to relocate resources and bring fleets to bear.

If you are talking about making anomalies more dynamic content, that's a bit of a different matter of course, and they can be fast things, but a very different beast since most will be done solo or by two at that point.

Really the sort of thing you are talking about should happen without players being involved with the NPC's actually being organic and reacting appropriately to things and having more realistic system defences and the like. but that would be a HUGE change to the game.

Just have the Jove explode the universe, forcing all systems not in high security space (because of reasons) to be randomly moved into different regions of space.

That would definitely encourage PVP, when now all of a sudden your medical clone station is within 5 jumps of 10 different corps who you may not be blue with.

No, I'm not serious, it's a Friday afternoon and I'm bored.
