Guess OP couldn't handle being in his own corp.

Well, shucks.

*kicks can*

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Well.... Welcome to Eve OP Roll

It may make you feel better to know your assailant actually lost a Stratios 5.5 hours before your encounter with him. With a loss of almost a bil, no wonder he had to steal your site! He also lost a second Stratios the next morning. Karma for you?

In all honesty though, Eve has a very steep learning curve. From your post, it seems you still have a lot to learn, which is not a bad thing - we were all there at one point - but it is something you should recognize. Teaming up with some veteran players might help you to speed through the learning curve, but some people (myself included) would rather learn for themselves (aka learn the hard way) and will make the odd mistake.

What Niran did in that situation is exactly the same as what 99% of other Eve players would have done. I'm not trying to throw salt in the wound here, but your ship loss is 100% on you and stealing valuable loot is part of this game. Engaging a Stratios with a Catalyst is suicide. You're correct that Catalysts are a ganking ship, but they operate in fleets with several other catalysts. Rarely will they 1v1 gank something with the exception of a high value shuttle or frigate. The Stratios is a tough nut to crack on the best of days, a T1 fit destroyer doesn't stand a chance.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your loss. If you keep playing Eve you will quickly learn this is part of the game and over time you will come to take it in stride.

Anyway, just wanted to make you aware that your revenge has already been served. Hope that puts a smile on your face Big smile
