Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Ok I have recently deleted and reinstalled the client to get rid of connection issues (it was an Intel driver update issue) and now I'm getting another more annoying issue. On opening the launcher a pink rectangle pops up telling me I have multiple launchers open or that I have logged in with multiple toons and it cant load the information. This I can cure by going into Task Manager. It can however, start multiple launchers in the background which causes the game to grind to a halt. Initialy I put this down to poor wifi but no, multiple launchers were open. Any ideas how to solve it?
