Okay since I've been away for several years and returning, I need some intel on some of the new alliances and coalitions considering Im Old enough to remember the last days of Band of Brothers vs Goonswarm. From my understanding, since then, Goons made friends and coalition called Imperium, Russian players moved into the Eastern part of the map calling themselves the DroneFederation, and apparently we have some bastard offspring of only lord knows what alliance or corporation that decayed to bring the various mess of Alliances scattered around nullspace. I'm also keen on learning which coalitions are friendly with one another and those who want to shank their neighbors.

Spy alert!!! --- Jokes aside, based on your understanding of economics in eve, I highly doubt you would understand the nuances of EVE politics.

It's not as simple as "This alliances hates/wants to kill that one," although generally speaking, Goons would be one of the few exceptions where they have taken the stance, EVE Vs Goons. Due to their super and titan fleets, no one dares to invade them. Nullsec by definition is PvP. In other words, nearly all nullsec alliances follows the protocol, "If it's not blue, shoot it". Not to mention, there are some alliances which roam each other and blow up billions worth of ships every day, but unite when someone wants to invade. So generally speaking, people roam each other for fun, but that does not mean they are enemies. However, if one alliance invades another, things are different (this means sov warfare). If the defending alliance is small without a coalition to defend them, they usually are wiped out. But if a coalition is involved, the attacking alliance must be either huge, or have backup big time to be able to invade sucessfully. When it comes to sov warfare however, people start to get pretty angry when you take their stuff. There are some groups that sov warfare not to really steal it, but force conflicts for content. So to sum up, there are a lot of nuances when it comes to EVE politics.

If you want to know what alliance is blue to what others, or what alliances are planning to invade, then you're a spai. Don't expect anyone to compromise their alliance on the forums.

On another note, don't crap post PH. They were only trying to help you understand the game and you slammed the door in their faces. Don't expect to get into that many alliances after the crap storm you created.

Hopefully you've learnt something.

My personal disagreements aside, Generally, I mean more what the hell is going in regards to all that because from my understanding of the current politics, From my perspective: Goons are digging their way into money judging by the price of Tritanium in their Turf, the DroneFeds are building practically everything and gearing up to go war with a neighbor, the southeastern alliances are quiet as far as Im aware, Imperium are preparing for an annual scuff with a certain alliance, the Mordus angels are generally reviled, Hell's Pirates are fapping over the fact their CEO is a woman, PH seems to be dealing with territory disputes with Guardians and some other problems, and the University Alliance seems to be particularly active. Other than that, things are awfully quiet on my radar, my spy ring has only provided with the information that DroneFeds are looking to pick a fight, and that info is questionable at best from Imperium sources. What info I gleam from public sources is murky such as post regarding alliance and intercorp relations, with an example of the post about PH being a vassal to PL but thats a case of information that I would take up too much time to verify and too many palms to grease in order to get anywhere. Economically, I've always made money when two big alliances are punching the teeth out of one another and when their is fighting about, there is pirating to be had and supply lines that need cutting for the right price, along with price gouging.
