1st Mining Mission

The 1st mining mission is go get 1,000 veldspar!

I got the veldspar and transferred it to the hanger but mission complete button message tells me I did not complete all the objectives!

Both of the 2 objectives have blue check marks next to them

The location has a yellow circle next to it!

Question 1: Do you have to bring back ONLY regular Veldspar or can you bring back a combination of regular, dense, etc?

Question 2.: Maybe I went to the wrong asteroid field to mine ---- do you have to go the exact requested asteroid field?


This is driving me nuts! As long as I bring back any type of veldspar from anywhere; shouldn't the mission be accepted?

Haven't done the mission in question, but if it's calling for normal Veldspar then you will need just that, and not the Dense/Concentrated/etc. types.

Did you mine the specific asteroid in the specific place they told you to mine it? (potentially)
Also if you want to roleplay a religious person go to the IC forum this doesn't....neeed......your GOD BLESS bullshit.

Hello and welcome to Eve.

Question 1 answer = when a specific type of Ore is requested, you can't mix in various types.

Question 2 answer = when a specific location is requested, you must go to that location to complete the mission.

Basically missions will usually send you to a specific location known as Deadspace where you might encounter some NPC's which have to be destroyed to complete the mission. I think you're doing the Career Agent mission so you'll have to go to the specific location, destroy a couple of NPC Rats, mine the Ore and then return to the agent. When you get to the system where the mission is located, you should be able to right click in space and select the option to warp to mission site. There will be asteroids there with the specific amount of Ore needed for that mission.

When running Agent missions, it's a good habit to make sure you read everything twice, then right click on the system location in the mission briefing and set destination, then accept the mission. If there's a specific Faction involved, it should show in the briefing as an Icon which can be right clicked to select the option 'show info'.

I know that mission, and had the same problem. I already had some Veldspar left and tried to use it. No joy.
You have to get it from the specific place they send you. No substitutions allowed.

You can't mine Veldspar from the belts that are visible in system, you have to go to the deadspace.

That was what my problem was! God Bless You for your help!

(I spent 2 days mining to do this mission - I even erased my character and started the whole game over!)

Well afaik the mission tells you exactly where to mine it, i know many people skip all mission/quest texts but its worth to read them.

First mining mission
character now located in doomheim.
I guess mining missions induce suicide (nonfatally ingame)
