At an individual level I cannot truthfully say that I withdrew from the fight against Gankers with my tail between my legs, because CODE did not get a single kill on any of my characters, not one, the only loss I had to gankers was a Thrasher on Dracvlad which was me shooting some Russian ones who had just ganked a freighter and who had time to blow up my thrasher.

I lost not a single freighter, a single DST, a single BR or hauler or mining ship, not one logistics ship and I was using pimped Guardians, not one to CODE or Miniluv, not one. So I repeat how is that running away with my tail between my legs? When I have lots of kills on CODE and their allies, saved multiple freighters, including a very very full NCDOT. JF which I bumped out of optimal and the pilot gave me 1bn ISK for the save.

How is that running away with my tail between my legs?

At the time I was doing this I had my killboard updating to ZKill automatically, they are all there. It was only when I briefly dabbled in POCO war decs did I remove that API key.

So if this is losing I wonder what winning is at a personal level?

However as I not a full on propaganda nerd like the CODE players I will point out that the success rate in defending freighters was about 35% in the events I was involved in, but I see that more of a strategic unbalance around bumping more than anything else, but acknowledge the sheer efficiency of CODE and Miniluv in this.

I stopped doing this mainly because I found it boring and loaded against the AG, my decision to back away was directly related to my boredom with the stale play around this. Thankfully I found an active top level PvP alliance in the TZ's that I largely played who would offer me interesting fleet fights, especially with the new capital combat system which I especially like, I was even involved in a cap fight against PL which we won. So I went and did that and left hisec, so that to CODE players is running away with my tail between my legs. Seriously guys, you are just terrible ShockedRollCool

PS. At the moment I am struggling with a personal lack of motivation for Eve caused by Ghost training and Concord frigate gifting to these players, if Shadow of War had not been delayed to October both my subs would have probably not been renewed. Is that CODE winning?

This always sorta bugged me. Not as an insult to you personally Drac, but the "world-weary MMO player contemplating cancelling his sub" thing is so, so tacky in 2017. Honestly.

I think your feedback is fine, and I also think the counter-points by your opponents have their own merits. But you aren't gaining a single solitary bit of credibility or standing espousing the "I have been thinking of letting my sub lapse, but... lackaday." rhetoric.

If you truly thought the situation untenable, you would unsub. Since you claim to still be subbed, you clearly feel the game worth your time. Positing that you might leave based on your disagreement with X aspect, and contemplating your navel publicly on that games forums is gauche, brother.

That was more to say that if I left due to the Ghost training Issue would CODE take that as a win on their part? You might have noticed that I am absent from all other posts on this subject including those on Reddit, however I can honestly say that since Wednesday afternoon my irritation at CCP was pretty intense and I was so close to just going feck it.

I added that PS before reading Reddit and noticing that they are going to do something, bit late and I don't trust them at all, I also pushed myself to go out on two fleets and the two fleets were great, I had two Brave Basilisks keeping me locked throughout the first fight and rather liked that, followed up by pushing myself to do logi and DPS on the second fleet and having a pretty intense couple of minutes when the Goons came in on us, and that reminded me of why I like this game so much.

I don't normally post like that because I also find it so passe, inane actually like you, but I thought it was a funny dig to make based on CODE deciding I had run away with my tail between my legs when I have not lost a single ship to them ever. Point taken and I will endeavour not to use such a comment again, as it annoys me too, one should only use it when one means it, though I do admit it was a close run thing for me. Sorry... Sad

EDIT: I did this on the forums once before in terms of the Combat Recons not showing on D-scan as it had a major impact on my game play, I actually de-subbed for 6 months on that but was talked into coming back by a friend, generally I don't make idle threats. Understand it was more to have a dig at what CODE would claim over it...

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I've noticed that butthurt carebears tend to think about the New Order as one big evil entity with all the members acting collectively. They refer to this Borg-like boogeyman as CODE. and hold each individual member personally responsible for everything any other member has ever said or done.

Notice how something I posted becomes "CODE. deciding" and "what CODE. would claim". No man, sorry, but it was just Galaxy Pig who decided that you were a whiney quitter and said so, not CODE. This is one of the reasons people know you as a blithering crazy person.

There is only one man who's authorized to speak for the entire CODE. alliance and greater New Order. The Savior of Highsec.

The simple fact is you are a very confused person, the CODE is simply a group of players who claim that James315 owns all of hisec and that his CODE is applied to all, which is why we refer to all players who are in CODE pushing that concept as CODE. Roll

You chaps are amazingly funny, I actually had a couple of hours chat explaining to one of your members why such ambiguous law as in the CODE was bad law because it was so wide in its interpretation, the odd thing is that I think he actually enjoyed the chat, as did I, but in the end he got annoyed and applied a bounty on me which was quite funny.

Personally you can claim that Micky Mouse owns all of hisec for all I care, actually he does own hisec come to think of it... Twisted

So you think I am a whiney carebear, so not bothered mate...., but you are at least a prolific ganker Big smile, you don't seem to have been that active recently, sad to see that Sad, though a bit of a spurt 11th June.

I often check CODE's activity levels in terms of miner ganking, and there are good reasons to keep tabs on that.

PS I don't go anywhere near hisec ganking or CODE subjects on Rediit, just so you know...

Don't.

Provoked, perturbed, I think not. I think you are misreading what is going on, I am just having fun as they are having fun, forum wars are part of the game.

I just lightly tug and they resort to name calling and trying to define me as a carebear, they also seem to think that a balanced critique of the current mechanics is whining. They follow me around too.

I actually have posted on this concept of CODE winning, what are they actually winning, remember they have defined themselves as owning hisec, which they quite obviously do not, so they gank a few freighters and they sell that cargo back into the market and they gank people who don't use Skiffs and Procurers, big deal.

The metrics I was looking at in terms of CODE was their miner ganking, you should have a look at it....

I just find them amusing, they remind me of La France.

Except that fighting with a valuable load freighter present on the grid in uedama is pretty much a sign that you've already failed in your strategy. The number one strategy was always to never present that thing.

ie should contractors, haulers, jf pilots, explorers, traders and defenders actually band together to prevent value presenting in chokes, then ganking would literally pray on your competitors until both were nearly dead.

Nope

- The chokes are full of the same stuff going both ways, which is a massive and pointless increase in volume and risk exposure.
- Contractors don't give sensible courier loads, which would make economic ganking impossible. You can talk to contractors to get better loads from them.
- Haulers aren't trustable, therefore contractors are not sharing risk with haulers. You can gather up trustable haulers.
- Traders are seperate entities, not making money by buffering supply of volume things on either side of the choke for you, and letting you choose to fulfill immediately out of stock and ship later.
- Stuff comes over the chokes that is the same value on the markets in both sides.
- Really expensive stuff can justify the effort of finding a high->high wormhole or a high -> jspace -> high route. Having explorers give them to you routinely would mean you'd have such on demand.
- Everytime a freighter dies, you have an opportunity to discuss with that freighter pilot moving to a strategic solution.

ie instead of recruiting one type of white knight, you'd chose to recruit a range of people who already do full suite of roles required to solve the problem, you could have cut down the freight at risk tremendously, but plainly anti-ganking is not about solving or defeating ganking, its just about fighting over a freighter, which is dumb and losing the battle strategically before it even started.
