I have a question. One of my friends is considering playing eve and accepted my buddy invite. I was wondering, If he buys the Core Starter Package first on a third party site and a month later upgrades from alpha to omega using the the eve online website itself will i still get the buddy invite rewards or not?

Okay I know they changed the starter packs with Ascension. But from what I see the Core pack on Amazon has a 30 day gtc in it. If they apply this plex with the starter pack you get the buddy reward right then. But. Because they used plex and not a sub you cannot gain the plex option but only the 30 days game time option for the account that gave them the buddy invite. If they subbed with cash or credit card then both options are available to you.

This has been standard for quite some time long before Ascension really. So anything other than cash or credit card sub will give you your reward.Blink

No. Ive used many of them, you will not get the bonus. The onyl thing in the core starter that is worth a damn is the accelerator, the rest is garbage.

Which package are you speaking of? There are 5 packages, 4 are discountinued afaik that were racial packages with the acclerator implant, some Aurum and 20 extra trial days and then the core starter package which was iirc about $20 or so and included a 30 day gtc card to it.

The racial starter packs are now garbage and wont get you the bonus or much of else now. The Core Packs gtc might still be valid with CCP and if so would still get you the bonus.
