Back in the old days logi trying to whore on KM's got blapped by the fleet survivors or if the enemy got them simply was not given SRP.

People have been proposing all kinds of bad ideas for a long time. Proposing something for a long time doesn't mean that CCP needs to include it, especially when "ignore killmails" is a much better solution.

It's not about focus, it's about fitting. All of your high slots should be repair/cap modules. All of your drones should be repair drones. If you are fitting offensive weapons just to get onto killmails then you're a **** logi pilot. Stop putting your ego over the success of your fleet and do your job correctly.

Why do I care about killmails? The same reasons everyone else does. It shows participation. I get the loss mail when I die in a logi, I was there doing my job, why do I only get the negative half? Most major alliances use the killboards to show fleet participation. Can you really not see that?

I know why you care about killmails, I'm telling you that the game is much more fun when you ignore them. Stop worrying about getting credit for being in a fight and start worrying about winning that fight, and having fun doing it. EVE is much more enjoyable when you don't obsess over how any possible action might impact your killboard stats.

And, as has been mentioned, an alliance that only looks at killboards and doesn't recognize the contributions of their logi pilots just because they don't appear in killboard stats is a garbage-tier waste of server space. Get out of that alliance and find better people to fly with.

What exactly are you fighting here, how does a logi getting a killmail for participating in the kill negatively impact your gameplay?

About the fitting? My post is literally about adding a permanent civilian railgun to all logi so they can tag onto kill mails. It has ZERO impact on current fits.

It sounds like you just want to argue with someone over the internet.

No SRP for fitting guns on your logi has been GSF policy for several years, so you'd be wrong there friend.

If you're a logi pilot, and your attention is split between helping your friends and whoring on killmails, you're nbot an effective logi pilot. If you have dropped a rep for a gun just to whore on killmails, the fleet would be better off without you.

You're there to rep things. Assign a drone to a tacklefrig if you're desperate for KMs, don't gimp yourself because MUH KILLBOARD.

(Actually, please do. And get all your friends to do the same. Then fight someone with an actual dedicated logi wing and see how you do.)

I agree with the sentiment if not the details. I like to run warriors on basis and ec-300s on scythes, first to go grrr ceptors and second to disrupt the enemy logi. Frankly I feel that you need to be able to at least field a flight of medium for it to be worth it against the close-range defense provided by assisted light combat drones.

Also, about removing killmails - the people who care about them to the exclusion of other things (like their own alliance), aren't, in my opinion, going to suddenly go "I was wrong the whole time" and give a damn.
