PI - Courier Contracts

Per the subject. Why not? It's still a player going out to collect materials and deliver them to a station. The implementation would be simple, most likely, unless POCO code is vastly incompatible, in which case they could simply encapsulate the old POCO code into a tab, with a separate tab for courier stuff.

One could argue that it makes PI more passive, I would argue that it's still a player getting the goods... who cares which player?

One could argue it reduces risk by having vast farms of PI alts (like my small farm) just launching a single ship to collect the goods, I would argue that it increases risk by putting all your eggs in one basket - a single cepter can easily tackle a single ship. 20-30 PI alts using squad warp... not so much.

It would, however, save time. Not just for the people multiboxing PI, but for the people who just want to let someone else do the work for them. If you have the ISK to do courier contracts, why not?

I don't really see any potential for abuse, beyond that of existing courier contracts. So. Why not?

it would also be nice if we could "sell" PI stuff directly to the other players on same planet.

For example i have a extraction colony that extracts resource and some other player has a manufacturing colony on the same world. then i would like to sell them my resources directly.. maybe via contract?

like a contract during which every thing that i extract goes to their silos. There should be some form of tax for both parties(export and import) but it should be lower then poco tax because hauling good on the world is cheaper then getting goods to orbit.

There are always great ideas coming from Signal Cartel members. I agree, the potential for cost avoidance if the PI goes P2P (whether an alt or discrete account) is going to make many industrialists very very happy.

I like this idea. I do think its a bit of an issue that you can collect all your pi goods from all your chars at once from this, but then again the alts have to be in system in space to even put the stuff in the poco to be picked up. So in the end im pretty ok with it.

As for selling stuff to other players on the same planet: no. Especially not with contracts. I could use that to do private transfers between alts and make a super network on a single planet without paying the tax I'm supposed to.

EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided"

Well... with regard to contracting stuff on planets, it could be as simple as only allowing one to select exported materials from the POCO hanger, rather than from the launchpads or storage facilities. But yes, in the circumstance you mention, that would lead to horrid abuse.
