For instance, you're warping around trying to catch someone and you're tabbing through intel channels to try and keep tabs on the target. You attempt to D+Click a gate to warp to and automatically jump the gate. You continue to switch between intel tabs while your ship 'prepares to warp'. After about 10 seconds, you realize you're still on grid not warping out, just aligned to the gate you were trying to warp and jump through quickly.

That's when you notice you have 'dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd' written in the typing part of the chat boxes because for some reason the client automatically starts trying to type when you simply switch to a tab to read it quickly.

Could we get an option to disable this ****? It's obnoxious. Like yeah, you could just remember to click into space randomly every time you switch to a new chat tab, but that's once again obnoxious and easy to forget to do in the heat of the moment.

This would be a really, really nice QoL change. I can't tell you how many times I've tried issuing commands to my ship through [Key]+Clicking only to see the chatbox filled with 'ssssssssssssssssssssssssss' or 'dddddddddddddddddddd'.
