Yay.

The blooders fight amongst themselves more than others and are so insignificant I don't think PIE has any worries.

Not really. The old ones still work. *smile* I checked up on recent combat work, I had to go back something like... seventy or eighty ship losses before I saw anything larger than a frigate or destroyer? I'm assuming you don't fly frigates in your parades, but big golden, shiny clean battleships? It's not something to be embarrassed about of course I know many lovely deadly frigate experts, it's the nature of the theater you all immerse yourselves in. But my little jest probably still a good core of truth to it. *smiles*

On a more gossipy note, Admiral Newelle got elevated to Holder by House Sarum for service in the Succession Trial. This means that Aldrith is now a Lord Consort.

Goodness gracious the Empire is just letting anyone up the ladder these days! Congratulations I suppose? Maybe in a few more generations they'll make a respectable family out of them with a few good marriages into proper stock.

These days all you need is a frigate or destroyer to be efficient. Anyways, I'd love to say it is good to see you again.. but all things considered, I can't.

Well, that is true but they have been chasing around purity and Cas's corp. Whether successful or otherwise. Wouldn't be a giant leap to assume Silas will be graced by their holiest of presences....

Never know, they may actually attack a combat oriented group yet. To shine that light they're soo proud of of course.

I suspect that'll depend on where she winds up. No need for PIE to attack her if she's up in Cal/Gal space, for example.

They've got kids, so he's done his consortium duty there. Any additional happy fun-times are completely duty-free, and may be arranged in the duty-free shop at any interstellar transit hub.

It would, as they don't often stick their necks out so far from home.

In any case let's please not associate me with whatever it is that's been going on in that area, conflict-wise or politically. I'm not remotely interested outside of the occasional verbal interjection, religious similarities or private communiques aside.

For the record, regarding current combat in the militia areas and all associated organizations of loyalists, heathens, and what-have-you:

I won't be coming to anyone's aid, nor shooting anyone there on behalf of anyone else, or likely coming within several regions.

From the scuttlebut I hear, I gather it involves Aldrith pretending to be a good Sarumite, despite having fought for Aritcio of all people in the Trials. Excessive hair care product might be involved as well, but that was probably true before the title.

I think you need an heir and a spare before you can rest on your laurels.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
