Website and Steam account merged, what payment must I choose?

A friend sent me an invite and I created an account through the website with the link. I then proceeded to install through Steam and Valve gave me a new Steam ID account. I now have 2 accounts for EVE Online.

I then logged on the website with both accounts to the same email address and seen the 2 account is merged together. "Other Accounts Sharing" shows my website account and Steam ID account.

If I buy a subscription through Steam, which is 50% cheaper than the website, due to differences in the currencies, will it be applied to both accounts? I want the subscription to be added to my website account my friend sent me the link with, as I got extra skill points and money.

As far as I know Eve accounts don't merge.

It sounds like you have just linked them, so CCP knows you 'own' both accounts. But they are still seperate and must be paid for seperately.

Sounds to me like you need to pay for your steam account through steam and the account you created through your friends link needs to be paid directly to CCP.

scroll down to the terms and conditions button to check if you can pay through steam for the friend invite (you can't but you should look anyway)

Thank you for explaining. I haven't played for long and I will make a purchase and see what happens.

If it doesn't work like I want, I will come back and comment about the issue.
