CCP’s Most Calculated Endeavor

Its a slippery slope, but no cause for concern as to towards F2P.

1) SP injectors are market controlled. No new SP is being injected, its just being moved around for isk.
2) SP extractors are introduced via IRL currency, as is PLEX.
3) NPE SP is a pittance, and buddy system is content. Its a "hidden" benefit for players that do their homework.
My own first contact in EVE was with a certified buddy. I did my homework and gained the benefit, as did my buddy.
4) So far, ingame PLEX price has remained roughly constant. I was worried about this, but seems to be working ok so far.
5) Ive never liked Character Bazaar. Characters are unique in EVE, specific to the player and generate their own history as a result.
SP extractors/injectors mean you can monetize the SP, rather than the character itself. Plus this supports extractor/injector cost vs PLEX cost rather than Character Bazaar over-reaching it.
6) I dont have a problem with character transfer incurring an IRL cost, albeit I do think it should cost equivalent to 1month sub as does multitraining. Unless there are administrative costs/complications involved in character transfer, I think a flat rate between 1month sub, multitraining and character transfer would be rational and pay itself off in the difference as players would be more likely to consolidate outlying characters on isolated accounts onto more primary accounts, especially in regards to PI.

There is no immediate danger or indication of EVE going F2P (free to play) or P2W (pay to win).

Oh noes, a company that is not in any way shape or form a charity wants to make money on it's insanely cheap 50 cents usd per day video game (bot only if you Omega, it's free otherwise...)!!!!

Madness I say. CCP should be working on technology that modifies it's workers to need less air, water and food so that they will need less pay and CCP can drop is exorbitant pricing down from "damn near free" to "so free we'll start sending YOU 50 cents per day if you play it" lol.

I've managed to PLEX my accounts since I paid the first sign up, so technically they are :D The only time CCP will need to review this is if it impacts player numbers. Otherwise It's up to them how they run the game.

Ultimately it's a case of play, or play not. There is no cry.

Whatever the case, the era of monument shooting possibility seems past.

It's been obvious for some time CCP intend to turn this game into some sort of Second Life in Space, and that nothing will divert them from it. It is a waste of energy to care at this point.
