Running EVE in DX9 to use Mumble Overlay

Hey all,

Recently joined a corp that uses mumble as their voice chat.. couldn't get the overlay to work; found it it was because I didnt have
"run clients with dx9" checked.

Does running clients with DX9 disable DX11, or does it allow 9 + 11?

I want to see the mumble overlay, but I don't want to take a FPS/graphics hit to do so.

TL;DR does checking "run clients with dx9" change anything?

----- does anyone know a DX11 + mumble work-around? -----

Get newest development snapshot of mumble and use it with normal dx11 EVE.

Checking that box makes eve use DirectX 20. Please be careful, as its very experimental.

Overlay doesn't use up that much space and it's hard to go through a list of 200 people to find who is talking (not to mention command channels). development snapshots for 1.3 are stable (at least with EVE) so there is no reason not to use them.

Did anyone actually get it working with EVE on the Mac?

I grabbed latest development version and have "Use DX 9" unchecked in the launcher.

The best I can get is to have the overlay show up IN the launcher window!

Anyone else?
