There should be at least one button for instalation to repeat previous program with cycles.

Also ability to save instalation would be fine. Without extractors placement.

pi is very skillbased and hardcore!
Only thing i wish is perhaps that you could save templates of already installed setups kind of like ship fittings, then you can move extractors and factories around to where you want and hit save.
And that P4 could be produced easier.

I'm imagining Eye of the Tiger being played while somebody works out with one of these things in order to do PI.

LOL Though the truth is if you spend time on a computer they are handy lil things to have laying around to do hand exercises with from time to time for repetitive strain stuff.

/me wanders off to blare Eye Of The Tiger while I type a bit Lol

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I dont click on dota, it's too slow, I have one click to cast/use where my mouse is. I still double click tp/blink to go to base.
AND the ui is way better in dota. just in case you didnt know.

Support my ideal, I've posted before about this and how cumbersome it is, to simplify it they could make it so folks could click less by;

Allowing PI to be processed into higher tier products in an engineering complex, in this way we can harvest raw materials then simply export and then process them in the complex by choosing the tier product desired.

But leave the ability to make them planet side because hey, some folks enjoy it.

I was thinking maybe they could redo this all planetary interaction to replace it with one UI window with sections for building upgrades like storage, launch and facilities (removing links), section for extraction operations (removing extractors from the game and replacing them with material tansports from a defined ranges), and section for resource processing (blueprint and resource input).
The initial building would still have to be placed on the surface in optimal spot, but upon placing it on the chosen spot on planet, after clicking it, it would bring this window with sections.

There is your solutuon: stop playing EvE and go back to Dota. Glad to be of assistance.

168 clicks minimum if I do every thing perfectly to just set up the installation. for ONE OUT OF SIX PLANETS
THAT is tedious. and hurting.

Most of it comes from setting routes. Make routes automatic and a lot of the pain will be removed.

I would suggest that you quit PI, delete your planets, and find something else. That means less PI coming to market. My PI setup will increase in ISK efficiency since there will be one more scrub removed from the market.

My hand does not hurt when I do my 54 planets, and yes I have to move them whenever my Alliance moves the Nullsec they are living in, which can happen quite frequently. If you don't like PI, don't do it. Don't ruin it for everyone by taking away all the profitability, which will happen if its a 1 click place saved setup kinda operation. Maybe even share the saved setups like ship fittings, so that everyone has PI as passive setups and no one can actually have it as their main income and profession anymore...

If I could ruin 100. lives, I swear I would do it, just for the fun.

I definitely would prefer to ruin your life and have a less tedious PI. I actually would enjoy it.

Don't think we should be worried about that. So far the only thing you're good at ruining is your own killboard. seems that the second someone isn't holding your hand and telling you what to do, you fail. You should probably ask your FC how to PI.

Takes enough clicks just to set the correct extraction duration.

I am for an update on the UI of PI, quite a few annoyances about it which doesn't make is as enjoyable as it could be.

I found that I was having issues with my arm/hand because of PI, never had any trouble before nor do I in other games. Not sure what it is about PI (maybe it should be renamed to RSI P)

Anyway my way around this was to activate Mouse Keys, so it saves me having to use my mouse for pretty much any clicking at all. Also the + is double click so even better. Saves time and pain :)

Give it a try, until they actually get around to sorting it out. Sometime this century at least Big smile

In my case, I think the pain comes from the UI being to imprecise and forcing me to correct my movement too often : when I click somewhere, actually the UI changes in-between the move and the click, making me do small moves here and there. those moves may be of no concern if I am doing very slow movements but since PI is tedious I try to go faster.

BTW I remember having the same difficulties (though to a lesser extent, so not painfull) when opening exploration cans, eg in a superior sleeper cache. When I take my time it's ok but some puzzles need to open the can fast (eg last room in the medium sleeper cache) and the UI does not process the click as fast as I do them.
I have 10ms ping to the server, as a side note for people thinking this may be a ping issue.
