They said on the inital release they have no plans for refineries in highsec or WH space. They said however after the inital release they might add stuff for WH players.

There's also the issue of compensation.

I have several billion isk invested in my POS'es and I'm pretty sure that my investment is modest in comparison to that of many others. If CCP were to take (say) the Vindicator or the Triage Archon out of the game (as ofc they did) they'd need to compensate the owners (as, in fact, they did in the latter case). POS'es are not all that different: they are capital investments used to generate a profit. So I trust there will be some sort of in-game mechanism for converting our structures into chits that get bought back for some decent fraction of the initial investment price.

If not then this will simply be a huge isk grab by the game designers -- one that, I think, disproportionately hurts the middle-sized investor.

It's got to be either keeping the WH POS, refineries for WH space or give us some method of compressing the gas used in T3 production.

T3 production will be in the gutter with the logistics required for moving gas out of a WH for production - why would anyone bother its done mostly to subsidize the tower fuel costs.
