Why not allow buying skillbooks anywhere and remote injection?

I think it's a total waste of time to fly station to station to pick up the different skillbooks sold by npcs. So why not allow us to buy them anywhere and remote injection? Or maybe at least buy them in any npc stations if you want to gank some fools transporting carrier skill books.

Why not make all items just magically appear wherever you are?

Most skillbooks are available from any educational institution in New Eden at NPC seed price. In Empire it's unlikely you need to travel more than 2 or 3 jumps. Some skillbooks and most blueprints are seeded at specific NPC corporations. Chruker has a list. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a couple of years but, what's there is accurate to the best of my knowledge. http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/market.php?group_id=150

In Nullsec there are no seed locations for skills and the only BPOs offered are Ore.

But, players offer most of these on the market at regional trade hubs - at a premium price. You pay for convenience. That's how the world works, why should the game be any different?

Because flying in space means EVE feels more alive to everyone in it.
