I am seriously considering setting up a custom office or 2 up in a low-sec system (0.3). I see that there is a structure I need to buy and anchor it in orbit around the planet. However I am wondering from those who have experience:

1) I know my office can be blown up. How simple of a task would this be for someone to do?

2) Do I need a certain level of standing like anchoring a POS?

3) I will be extracting resources and then shipping them back to high-sec to be made into P1 and P2. Any issues with doing that?

Basically just want some first hand experience before I go and blow a bunch of ISK on something that might or might not be worth is.

Thanks!

1) Not all that hard, but the attacker has to do it twice, once to reinforce it, once to finish it off. Depending on how busy your area is, what planet type, and how likely to fight you look, it could happen once a week, or once every few months.

2) No.

3) Extracting P0 is a terrible idea. Even if you don't include the cost of your POCO into your P0 costs, just importing and re-exporting in highsec will be more expensive than just extracting P1 there.

Remember you do need to blow up the NPC customs office first, which takes around 90 minutes with 3 gank battleships.

What happens in lowsec, stays in lowsec, lowering the barrier to entry to lowsec PVP: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=476644&#post476644

Thanks for the feedback. I think I am going to try to make friends with the locals there before i attempt anything. If that fails, well.. just have to do it the old fashion wayTwisted
