Probe Scanning Map Background "NOISE" = Ventilation Shaft???

When probe scanning it sounds like I am sitting with my head in a ventilation shaft. The back ground NOISE is coupled with the UI so i cant turn it down without turning everything down!!! This is so annoying I dread having to scan at all but I must every day. Did someone stick a microphone in the ventilation duct in your offices to record that LOL. Please remove it or tie it to the normal map background so it can be turned OFF without turning down the other probe scanning effects!!!!
